Anywho, first ontopic post of the thread. Theres the usual way to evade the grim reaper; run away, find a healer, pop lifeblood/gotn/potion/aquariusbelt/bandage/whatever, however there are more unusual ways of staying alive, or at least different variations of those above.
Stomp can be very useful. If you have 3 people on you and you stomp you have 6*average dps effectively removed from you, thats something like 350dmg+ if you have a couple rogues on you. Useful to get a heal off or wait for the last few secs of your herb CD to finish.
LoS is pretty basic
Jumps pretty much speak for them selves, if you can get somewhere where they cant get to then you're sitting happy.
Running away can be tricky if you're not a druid or shammy, but most classes have a few tools at their disposal. Backstrafing in this situation is a good idea, even for your basic caster. Try to make it to friendlies if you want to live.
TBH the best way to stay alive imo is to plan well ahead, dont go ramboing straight into that group of 7 GY campers, dont run up to that hunter with trinket on CD outside of stealth, pop shield block and def stance to keep yourself alive till your healer or lifeblood comes off CD. All that sort of thing will keep you breathing.
