So I just got back to the game after around 7 months or longer break. What items should I be looking out for?

With that being said is the ilvl 180 gear bis only in bgs and arena?

Also how will BFA affect the 180 gear?

At 70 even with 180 Ilvl pieces you cannot reach the threshold to gain a stat advantage soon point I trying. 180 pieces are very good for raids since there is an active Ilvl curling teachable by 70s for raid and heroic encounters. Because of the new scaling effects of regular dungeons this Ilvl bonus is irrelevant in regular dungeons at 70 since the ceiling for gain is Way to high. That being said , I would suggest posting a class and spec for what 180s you are looking for since there are a good number of them out there varying in effectiveness. Also in bfa the Ilvl of the 180s becomes 100 with sunwell 164s being 94 still giving them an advantage over sunwell. Withthis being said, we are not sure yet if we can reach the ceiling at 70 in bfa to gain anything from Ilvl in bfa yet In any instanced environment. Hope this helps, I know it’s a mess xD

i might just be optimistic, but i think that ilvl tuning is still coming. i think theyre worried about actual spec numbers first
