I explained in simple terms what you're actually trying to do, defended against the idea that you're trying to "bribe" your way through, and defended that what you're trying to do isn't in any way deceitful or wrong. I just said that I personally wasn't interested in it, and wouldn't like to see RMP mirrors for twink cup because the comp is fundamentally boring at 19 for a lot of people to watch.
I did like replacing disc with Rsham(but since you play disc then ehh...)
Rsham ret hunter/fmage mirror sounds like a fun to watch comp imo.

Also regarding rsham I'm thinking of having rsham as another option as well as disc priest. Just my thoughts though, haven't fully decided.

I like this idea. However, seems kind of unfair to rest of the community that doesn't play these classes or had a team set up already for this event. I would be down tho :D the nerf makes it all better.

2. a donation of a good idea to build hype for the previously dead arena tournament

from a player
1. who historically has set up more successful twinkinfo / xpoff tournaments than anyone in this community
2. who has donated more money to competitive twink pvp than any single player
3. who has played thousands of arenas
4. won the TC15 arena tournament

In my eyes R-M-(x healer) mirrors have been the most entertaining mirrors to watch since wotlk. So far there are no sign-ups for the TC arena tourny and honestly, why would there be? There's no insentive. This community would be idiotic not to take the money and embrace some hype for the TC. This would not be replacing the underpowered tournament, that is a seperate event

Living can have a separate tournament for rmp mirrors, but I know that underpowered 3s are super fun to play and I would love a tournament for it.
 
well, chip in 500 aussie dollars(~370USD) to the twink cup and we'll have both, and everybody wins ayyyy lmao.

How about we just disconnect the arena portion entirely from the twink cup -- nobody really cares about that when compared to the WSG tournament anyway, let's be honest.

And maybe instead of putting money towards the TC while arenas currently have no incentive to participate in, Arena tournaments with mini prize-pools(split 3 ways that's still over a hundred USD each, worth signing up for) would be pretty cool to build more 19s activity hype before the big day(s) a lot of people have been waiting bored-ly for. And as 3s teams take a LOT less commitment than a 10-13man, especially in mirror-matches(you only need to practice one thing) a little over 2 weeks as a deadline should be no sweat tbh.
 
Don't really see what the problem is with this. Conq already stated that the underpowered isn't the twink cup anyways so no idea why anyone is comparing RMP to it? I say the more money for skill ratio the better.
 
living, you said you had full control of the rules for the arena portion of the twink cup. by suggesting this, are you saying that you were unable to balance the tournament in a way that would give teams the option to play many different comps? i feel like you went about this the wrong way, because if you have explored all the options and felt this is literally the only way to have a balanced tournament, I think you would receive more positive feedback. what if you included a few more "approved" compositions?

Like. 3s are a trash anyways. Why would anyone not want to have a mirror or rogue/mage + healer tourny that can be tuned in terms of enchants etc to have competitive an fun to watch games? If that also adds 500$ to the pool its gg for everyone but the ppl who like to have moral arguments...

People are liking the thread so that there's more money for the TC. If Livin made a thread suggesting an RMP mirror tournament he wouldn't get 30 likes.

There isn't 30 people interested in RMP mirror tournament. There's no way.

30 people don't have to play. We'd only need at least 4-6 teams to do some sort of round robin, or something. Giving a like doesn't mean they want to play. People are allowed to like it because it promotes activity in the bracket even if it doesn't interest them that much. At the end of the day if this event helps the bracket grow then what's the big deal. The only negative out of this if it completely flopped and discouraged activity which I doubt would happen. It would probably be streamed on twitch which would bring the community together and expose our small community to the world of twitch once again and spark new people to play 19s.
