If i get 30 likes i will go to the committee and try to discuss a solution. If successful, i will fund $500 to the cup.

I just want to remind you and clarify that he isn't forcing anyone just in case it wasn't clear enough when he clearly said so. It's up for the community to decide, like he said earlier in case you forget that he said it earlier, which he did. He has two conditions like he said in the OP an hour ago.

Please don't offer feedback on whether or not you, being a member of said community, would be interested in said proposal because then you obviously don't understand that he isn't forcing anyone in case you forgot, and that its up for the community that you are a part of to decide in case you forgot.

Pretty much this. It isn't that awful of an idea if it's for the community event, and not the TC itself. But purely based on the fact that you're trying to bribe the community with a TC donation of a $500 ($500 isnt bribe worthy) to directly benefit yourself, I will have to say fuck no.
