Best idea. We need more marketing and advertising. Hopefully this site will promote the future. As a bracket we need to gain exposure from twitch etc and ti is not the place to do this as leadership is amiss.

TI has been without a logo for just hours. Not even 48 hours at that.
What we don't need for marketing Twinks and twinking in general, is the cesspool that TI turned into with all the hatred and toxic posts it allowed people to get away with constantly posting. All under the guise of it "being the culture of twinking".
Who would really want join that?

Well getting adsense would mean higher revenue = bigger prizepool for stuff like TC, more money for development and just more money for the community to do stuff.

The TC prize was already on the cusp of being too big.

Splitting hairs on a name doesn't resolve the issue of the tournament that was held in the Summer of 2015, in which many XP locked level 19's played, nearly met Blizzard's prize limit.

From a marketing standpoint, it would be a terrible idea to change the name of the Twink Cup. Just as it is a bad idea to splinter such a small group of people between two websites. I suspect some may never even find their way over here. I hope this site succeeds. Competition brings out the best in people. And the worst in some. Hopefully both sites can benefit from each other.

And with that comes many site restrictions. What do you think Myrm was trying to prepare TI for initially?
Unfortunately, there was no way Blizzard was going to touch TI with a ten foot pole with lack of moderation it had. Maybe that will change.

And that was one of the reasons for XPoff.com to be made. Remove the "Twink" tag from the website, and companies (maybe even Blizz) will think about doing bussiness with you.
 
Hi.

Xpoff is like next lvl genius website name.
From blizz point of view I bet they would be much more interested/curious about a community/tournament called xpoff than something including "twink". "Xpoff" directly promotes a feature of their game and is way more easier to get through ppl.

If this site could generate enough income to also fund ingame events that would be sick. Lets be real, without ppl like Myrm, Livingforce, Arkant and Nasty who donated huge amounts of money the pricepool would not have been as big as it was. Not even close.
 
What we need is company sponsors. Not individual sponsors. Even if they only donated a few of their products that would be fine. A quarterly prize for a gaming mouse or something similar.
First, the website has to get established and prove that it can moderate itself. This is something that TI could not do. It allowed it's members to get out of control. XpOff.com needs to nip that problem in the bud.
 
I'm fine with the name change, but I don't think blizzard would bother sponsoring us even though our name changed. They don't care for our bracket. Never have, never will.
 
The moment the prize pool reaches over $10k they have to host the tournament, and with it being called the xpoff cup or something it can spike activity in multiple brackets, maybe even reviving dead ones.
