Hippo, the size advantage alone would carry it i think. For all the shitty things humans do why has this never been invented? I don't mean the cheesy graphics on the discovery channel either.

I want to think the polar bear would win. I like to imagine them being at least moderately spry. If this is taking place in international waters, however, maybe the hippo has a chance. I recently watched a polar bear on a relatively warm day in Minnesota, & that shaggy bastard was downright slothful.

Polar bears are pretty big, but probably not as massive. I always thought about the polar bear's claws and teeth vs. the hippo's hide and bludgeon damage of teeth. Both are good swimmers, but the polar bear would have the advantage on the deck I think. If it stayed in the water and the bear got on it's back, I don't know if the hippo could recover. But maybe the hippo could drown the bear or something. This is why we need to get a kickstarter going; for science.

I'd imagine the Koch Bros. would throw money at you hand over fist, as long as you can guarantee an extinction of at least 1 species.

It's safe to say anything that is ridiculously broken and wins at a rate of 1 to 100 fights is overpowered and that is what we have here. Level 79 twinking was crazy broken in cata it's even worse to put 29s against 20s especially when we cant have custom hit rating anymore

Hippo adults reach 3,000 lbs, the males keep growing forever apparently. Where as an adult PBear maxes out around 1,500 lbs. I think the thickness of the Hippos hide, and the shortness of the polar bears claws/teeth 6 inches? maybe 8? wouldn't do enough to bring it down. Where as all the hippo would have to do is trample the polar bear, or even take a snap at it with its massive jaws, massive teeth etc. If the polar bear could drag out the fight, in the hopes of making the hippo bleed out then maybe.

Edit: On the flip side, maybe the polar bear and the hippo talk it out, set aside their differences and realize friendship is more important.

I would never throw away a master piece of mine to begin over, it's not so much the fact that f2ps are restricted to certain things, but it's all the hours and hours of grinding and struggle people have gone through to get their characters BiS etc suddently gone to waste if they should reroll. And in the end, if all you seek is balance, wow is probally not the best game to play.

I can't be upset with 29s even if I wanted to. 29s have been very patient with getting games again and now they can actively play again. koodoos to all the 29s who stuck it out for so long. Not only that, but Holinka tweeted that we will scale to lvl 29 in arena sometime(which I assume will be by WoD or in a WoD hotfix as an attempt to help balance low lvl pvp). What this means for 29s is, not only will they actively have challenges in BGs but also in arena. I couldn't be happier for all the 29s who have been living in the darkages of scheduling games once a week to make the most of their 15 dollars a month on this game.

I will also admit that 29s seem to have slightly better gear than F2Ps do, this comes from p2p enchantments and variation of gear. IE: My Max stam set using non-GF'd gear w/ Fortitude is probably around 7.8k HP w/ food + alch buff in bear form. Where as I've seen a lvl 29 Brewmaster get up to 8.4k hp. 29s have slightly better gear and abilities, which means yes they do have an advantage but not much. This brings a challenge to all F2Ps and it also comes down to skill vs gear.

Hopefully when WoD comes out, Ques will be fixed and there will be lvl scaling in Skirmishes.

Polar bears are the largest bear in the world. They are the only bear who will actively hunt and eat human beings when given the opportunity. With that said hippos are one of the most aggressive animals in the world. They don't give a fuck about getting hurt their hides can take it. They can crush a lions skull between their jaws.

Here's how I see this fight going down.
1) Polar bear gets charged and runs away immediately due to size and aggression from hippo.
2) Polar bear causes enough bleeding to weaken the hippo and has dinner.
3) Hippo oneshots the polar bear in the face.
If it's a water fight hippo wins hands down.
Polar bear dies to heat exhaustion/hippo freezes.

Too much other stuff to do to waste my time doing something where I don't even have a chance 50-75% of the time. If I could hit a 29, I'd queue all day and win at least some games even with their retarded damage. The fact that I can't hit them makes it beyond awful to queue.

Queue times are not down because of lack of 24s or 29s, it's because people don't understand what havoc AV is wreaking on the queue times and don't know how to properly queue. 24s were never needed, they've always been the scum of the bracket (and let's not forget I have 10 BiS P2Ps so I'm unbiased here). 20s have the numbers by far in this bracket (jajas alone have the numbers) - I'm legitimately curious why you think 20s need 24s/29s if it's not numbers. If you look at EU where there are far far less 24s you'll find brackets pop just as fast.

And we aren't complaining about bgs. Your starting a non existent dispute. We only dislike the long queues, as opposed to anyone in the bracket.

We were complaining about the lack of level scaling, and the fact blizzard introduced us skirmishes without their utmost popular scaling feature in bgs.
You're only seeing it through your pov, but as a 20, you miss nearly every attack you use and have half the stats and health pool of a 29. This is an issue in nearly every bracket ATM, not just 20-29.
