I don't understand F2P twinking..

Before I start off saying anything that I would like to point out that this is not me hating on F2P's or anything... I just wanted to get this out of the way.


So every time I solo que I am the only 24 on my team while the other team usually has 3-4 24's(If not premade) and 2-3 are usually hunters(How original). Anyway my question is this, Why do people f2p?(Besides the obvious I want a challenge) If you are a f2p twink then essentially you are missing out on 4 levels(1-2 skills) a lot of BiS Gear and Enchants...

Now that question(s) was to the f2p twinking community here as I know a lot of you are very good at the class' that you play... even tho a lot of you are hunters :p

This is a question to everyone here...

Why is it that when ever I get put with a bunch of f2p, They have absolutely no sense of how to play a WSG, No sense of team work. All they do is just farm mid...(Which then gets me to rage and say horrible things to them and f2p twinks in general inside the bg) But after losing 5 WSG in a row where I am the only 24 in there and the only one actually doing something it starts to get to you because a lot of the BG's you could of won if the team didn't just farm...


Anyway once again I would like to say that this is not a hate message or anything so don't get all upset with what I posted... Anyway enough with my ranting, Thanks for reading and hopefully commenting.
 
Because it's free and this game is not worth paying for.

Most of the time they aren't, you are either frustrated or conceited, probably frustrated.

But if it's not worth paying for then theoretically it's not worth playing all together.. If you want a game that is free, play a F2P game that doesn't restrict everything that you do...

What aren't? The games we could of won? I know a lot of the games you can't win either way... but when your team doesn't even attempt to go for the flag or help the FC(Which is usually me) and they just let the EFC run past them while they are farming the other F2P... It makes you think that you can win the game if you actually try...

Why do we f2p twink? Alot of us used to p2p but felt that this game was not worth paying for anymore. Its too imbalanced, has too many issues. People could get the same gameplay feeling that they used to have by rolling an account they didnt even have to pay for. Keep in mind, Blizz meant for F2p to be about people trying the game out. Alot of these "nubs" your seeing are people who have never played before. They are trying it out. Although blizz is ruining everything by not having F2ps in their own bracket. I see so many kids get mad because of 24 premades and such. It puts a sour taste in the new F2p's mouth (especially these days).


This bracket wasn't resurrected because blizzard wanted 24s to roll f2ps. They wanted people to try out the game and like it, then pay for it and lvl to 85. (90 soon!)

Everything boils down to money.

Why would I want to play a 24 anyways? The majority of players in this bracket are 20's. I dont need 4 lvls, huge gear advantage, guild perks, AH, blah blah 85s, guru help, w/e. I still do great in games. I like the challenge, its fun. And, when you take on those higher lvl dudes in the bg, and you kill them, it makes me smile and giggle. Challenge is where its at.


P.S im not hating on you for rolling a 24. People have their own ideas of having fun. Be it rolling kids easily or taking on the challenges. Just dont GY farm or i will hope you will fall off a cliff and break your arms.

completely and totally disagree. if that were the case, then there would no free games...anywhere. even the f2p model isn't 'free'. i spent $1,000 (or whatever) on the computer, i'm paying $60 (or whatever) a month for internet service, and i'm paying like oh $10 (or whatever) a month for the 400 watts i'm sucking up when i turn the computer on...AND i'm loosing whatever money i could be making if i wanted to do something more productive.

it's not really 'free'...we just don't have to pay even more...and that makes me happy
 
Shuix, the reasons can vary why people have a f2p account. For example, I'm saving money for college and so are many others.

The main thing I'd like to say is that f2ps aren't totally "restricted". I do premades with other twinked f2ps on Muradin Horde because theres always a few 85s online that I know that are willing to group us. Many 85s on Muradin have gone as far as making 24s and now theres usually always a premade going on. The reason you're entering such crappy bgs is that you're not getting any legit f2p premades, which do exist (look up f2p Aerie Peak community).

PS: Everybody has the issue with crappy bgs, some players are literally "baddies", it sucks when I get a bg like that. But with the right people to play with, bgs are a blast if you're a f2p.

I do believe in F2p consideration for the legit players like 24s who are looking for a good time. For example, I don't enter battlegrounds on a new toon until I get the BiS gear that i can obtain at the time.

Just want to reaffirm what everyone else has said as well as add some other points.

F2P is free.
F2P has some restrictions that actually make the game fresh; learning to work and play around these restrictions has made WoW a new game for me. I've done p2p since vanilla and even considering xpacs f2p is the most exciting and newest version of the game I've played since tbc.
I get to feel like a pro for taking down someone considerably stronger than myself.

As for 'bad f2ps', keep in mind that there are actually people just trying the game out who have no idea what they are doing and that there are just as many, if not more, bad p2ps as there are bad f2ps.

My toon is almost BiS... (Just missing 1 ring, AGM and caverndeep trudgers) apart from that I am BiS with enchants and everything... I think my main rage is that 90% of the F2P community that I have come across are hunters which just kite warriors so easily and the people who play the hunters only rolled them because they are so easy to play in the sense that even though you can be bad, you still kill 90% of everything and top5 damage every BG...


Also this is basically how I feel when ever I solo que..

absolutely not true.Infact most of the time its the 24s that go into the GY cuz they feel ''like a god amongst mortal men''. Ive only recently started playing somewhat objectively on my f2p horde hunter/priest and alliance shaman otherwise...when im .on my 24 hunter and/or multiboxing i never play objectively.
the f2ps arent ''twinking'' they are just max at their level and stats.Its the 24 aholes that think they are so good and can ride out there and take on a whole team of f2ps.While some f2ps are completely clueless its usually the 24s looking for the 20s to fight, not the other way around
 
Most F2P are either complete n00bs on trials, or at least new to the game and twinking . There aren't that many F2P twinks who have the dedication to go full BiS, and who have game experience to back it up with.

I understand that but I mean honestly.. WSG is a CAPTURE THE FLAG style game... It's universally known around the world what a CTF is... WoW just adds a little twist to it where people play class' which use abilities that can aid your team... Except what I have come across is that F2P only roll hunters or rogues. And they either come top 5 in damage(hunters) or they stay stealthed while I fight 3 enemies in their tunnel while I carry the flag...

I would LOVE to meet some decent F2P premades that actually know how to play and know what they're doing rather then just roll hunters and face roll...

Because I'm Australian and it's 0810(8:10am) here is no one that I can premade with as they are all either At work, Still asleep or at school.

I've only played a P2P twink, I have never GY farmed. I have never looked for a 20 to fight over a 24(Unless they were a hunter in which case I just don't fight them period). I don't like running around like a headless chicken in a BG while the enemy team just 3/0 us... or 2/0 and then farm with the flag for 20 minutes... I prefer to get into a BG.. Actually TRY to win with decent team work and communication and have a fun time.. rather then play a 1-3v10

A 24 complaining about hunters being easy to play without much effort? :rolleyes:

And if you think there are too many noobs, why don't you roll in another bracket - 19s for instance, where everyone who ques are twinks on equal turf? Not to mock you just for playing a 24, you can do that if you want to of course, just seems kinda pathetic to come here and complain about losing and getting farmed...

I don't play a hunter and refuse too because they are too easy... I play a warrior because they are very rarely seen... And why would I roll in the 19's bracket where people just roll hunters/rogues and face roll...

And I'm not coming here complaining because I lost or that I get farmed...That stuff happens in every bracket. I'm coming here because 90% of the time I'm in a BG with only F2P who farm mid regardless if we are wining or losing(Altho when you are losing you notice it a lot more.)

If its just f2ps who run around in mid like headless chickens that is why you roll in another bracket, where everyone are supposed to be more dedicated to twinking. If it happens in every bracket then complaining here probably not helping anything, as the people who run around and don't care probably aren't gonna read it here anyway...
