Here is a sugestion how we should treat fotms (survival hunters, or something else in the future).

As a healer you should not heal them at all, just let em die.

As a dps you should kill them first. They should go down if their healers also ignore healing em. Be sure to use stuns on em (if you have any), to make them less likely to kill you or anyone else.

If eveyone starts doing this they should die alot more and get less kills. They would most likely still top dmg/ kills and so on, but they should atleast have alot worse k/d. Wich would make it alot less fun for them. And mby they go back to play whatever they played before, or switch spec to mm or bm (the hunters who are mm/ bm should ofc get healed as eveyone else).

Also, if you group up and que with em you are just as bad as they are.

If eveyone in the brackt started to play after these "rules" it should be alot more fun for everyone and we whould see less hunters in the top spots in bgs.

I hope to see more ppl doing this asap. Atleast i will do this until they are somewhat balanced. Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

(This post is mostly for healers)
It should be you who decides who lives and who dies.

Healers will quit and migrate to Legacy servers. Hunters will kill each other.

//i play healer mostly.

What if you already play FotM class/spec?
Not everyone flocks to FotM. If for some reason the class/spec that I main, and that I have played for over a decade became FotM I am not going to just stop playing it.

I have been saying this for months and months. If we are going to "compete" post 7.1 we need to join forces and create a Megaguild for XP locked lowbies. We have two created already on Bleeding Hollow, an Alliance one and a Horde one. They are the "official" XPoff.com guilds.

There's no real action you can take against fotm. It's already frowned upon by most, which should be enough. The originals that have been playing x class and spec forever and still played x class and spec when they are considered overpowered are of course aware of how "retarded" their class has become, and some actually stopped maining that class and spec out of spite for what it has become. However, those who choose to keep playing it are not the ones that are being chased by mad mobs with torches and pitchforks.
It's the re-rollers. People know who mainly plays what in a community as small as ours.

TL;DR: Can't do much about fotm. It will always be there. Take it for what it is.

I exclusively play Surv Hunter because not only is it godly OP, but also seems to have the highest skill ceiling, imo anyways, which primarily revolves around freezing trap placement. If you can successfully freeze the highest DPS in a team of 3 DPS (e.g. Arms or another Surv) you can 1v3 them easy pz. In a Surv vs Surv, the first person to CC and then Freeze Trap the other hunter's pet will win (because Flanking Strike requires the pet to also be attacking the target). Pets have an ability to break CC's too, so you either need to CC or hope that it's on CD. In scenarios with healers, you can War Stomp/Quaking Palm the Healer/DPS to bait a Trinket, and then freezing trap them into an 8 sec CC. Sometimes it's much easier to kill the healer than the DPS, because some healers freak out and decide to stop hardcasting when they're getting focused.

I also heal, however, but I've always mained Disc, because PW:S is OP. Tried playing other healers, but Discs carry the hardest in pugs.

First, don't play FOTM yourself.
Second play healer and hope you have some decent dmg dealers in your team.
Most fotm rerollers play without brain and like to run around alone.
Everyone who likes twinking should be ashamed to play surv ATM.

@Kageroo
I remember those days when I could play 1 against 5 with a hunter and my multishot and pet could clear a whole group of levlers. But times have changed and to be honest nowadays it is much better.
I enjoy close fights much more and blizzard made some very good decisions for BGS. Those times when you had a group of levlers with 250-350 in your team which all getting oneshotted by rogues were awfully.

I rather win bgs, heal my fotm, focus theirs. Although I don't play fotm, my friends do.

It isn't "the highest skill ceiling" because even with SV vs. SV it's whoever happens to push the button a millisecond faster to CC/Freeze as soon as they get in-range. That's dumb luck and the margin of error or ping.

Nice fapping to the idea that you're good, when it's the OP crutch you depend on. If you were any good you'd play non-OP. Period end of story.

Also vomit inducing is the excuse that "Gee I can't help it if the spec I played for X years (kek) just happened to become OP!!1!"...when the spec has been radically changed from what it was previously. It's easy enough to roll non-OPs, especially a lower level twink that's not hard to gear up.

Sinking the ship you're on just to kill the captain ( I don't remember if that's the right analogy) isn't really helpful in the case of the fotm being on your team.

It would at least show other captains or wannabes that they should get into a different line of work.

Meh, I'd ask for a class that takes skill to play, but this is the 20s bracket and pretty much all classes have 4-5 abilities. Surv hunter is one of the few classes where ability placement matters. I think the only other classes where ability placement matters are Shaman and Mage, and Earthbind has a HUGE radius, and so does Blizzard and Flamestrike, making them almost guaranteed to hit a target.

Isn't there a small degree of skill cap with all specs?

This thread is also amusing. No matter what there will always be an unbalanced meta in damn near everything . If it is "balanced" that just creates an environment which is boring(same result?). If you can't beat em join em. We may just have to face the fact that Class X, X, X, and Surv are viable and the rest are only specs you play for fun.

I think the whole not healing people is sort of childish. You're assuming that literally all hunters know what they are doing or even have exp off. If we had RBG's would your Comp be 7 Surv and 3 Disc? If the answer is yes then the bracket is totally F******. If it's not then there are some other classes that fill another role you're team needs to help those hunters win

Funny enough though I recall another time when Survival was again FOTM
:D
