How to Improve my Priest Play

Disc > Holy. At least in pugs.



Disc gets more base mana, crit and more spell power, while holy gets more healing. Not a too huge difference here.



Disc gets 6% damage, 6% healing, and 20% increased absorb amount with PW:S. Holy gets 15% increased healing as well as 10% increased healing with renew. Not a too huge difference here either.



Chastise and DP does not in any ways compete with penance. Chastise breaks by any damage, 25 sec cd, and DP heals you for ~500, with a 2 min cd. While disc priests get penance, each tick healing for almost 200 (or 400 if it crits), meaning a full penance heals more than a DP.



"Let the dps do the damage", why? If you can do more burst damage than most classes, why not take advantage of it?



Also, disc gets a 1 sec shorter shield on PW:S which is great for group healing both on O and D.



If DP is one of the biggest benefits of Holy, then holy definately isn't worth it.



This is just my opinion and it's up to you if you'll agree with it or not. You will probably not change your mind, and neither will I.

It's definately a versatile class. With 5 evangelism stacks I crit 600 with holy fire and 600 wiith mindblast.

Holy > Disc most situations



Disc > holy if you just PuG...



Imo Disc is good it is just that Holy you get more utilities: A Stun, Free heal w/ 2 minute CD Better overall heals.



Disc you get better bubbles more intellect aka you last longer.



Penance is good but people are missing the fact that it is channeled. i play rogue i usually wait until a disc priest casts that and i kick they can't heal for another 5 seconds and i interrupted 1-2 heals from penance. Also shamans can windshear it so you lose out on it and can't cast for 2 seconds.



Penance can be clutch but,,, it can also be your demise.



Also disc and holy can dismantle hunters. funny when they attack me and expect me to not fight back.

Depends, I can play a priest how it's suppose to be played...I have better movement than a lot of kids in the bracket. I'm not close to oasis though, and besides him not many priests have impressed me at all this xpack thus far. Maybe like 2 or 3?
