How to enter Magisters' Terrace at level 20

The only way to enter this dungeon is by joining a Battleground (BG) as a level 20 character. Once you are inside the BG, you can be summoned by a Warlock or through the Summon Friend feature. This is the easy part.

Now, if you need Legacy Loot, you'll need a specific high-level character to summon with the Warlock or Summon Friend feature and summon yourself into the dungeon. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION HERE, because to play with Legacy Loot, you’ll need three accounts:

  1. A Starter Edition or Veteran account.
  2. An account with game time.
  3. Any account with a character outside the dungeon to reset it.
In my specific case, I used a Druid to assist my Paladin, along with a random character outside the dungeon to reset it. I needed the help of two friends: one playing the Warlock and another to assist with summoning the portal.

Once the portal was summoned, I joined a BG with my level 20 character, and then they summoned me inside the dungeon. Every time I needed to reset it, I simply disconnected the two accounts (the one with game time and the Starter Edition) and reset the dungeon from the outside.

That’s all.

P.S.: To those who charge for info and don’t share it, you’re just screwing over your own community.

I'm trying to understand. Is this to farm socketed items from the normal dungeon? Because we had no trouble farming Magisters' Terrace when it was in the timewalking rotation.

I've helped 2 twinks with my 70 lock for free to summon them inside, sparked some of the more magical moments where turns out, it's Zulu who according him: is a coordinator of the global 20s community and stuff which was nice. Joined the group with my new warrior and started to gear him up.
I don't know what fate has lead him to whispering me randomly in Dalaran and asking for help, and then me noticing both are 20s/29s.

Do we have to activate legacy loot to be able to get level 20 loot? Or will it automatically scale to 20
to be clear, i havent used this method to enter dungeons and raids for like... 4 years, so i dont really know how the loot works. They didnt use to drop useable loot, it was just for the novelty.

I'm also not sure the bracers are worth the hassle. Proc a socket on the Virtue Bearer's Vambraces from Blood Furnace and you'll have 6 vers instead of 3 str and I *think* that comes out even. Or pretty damn close.

I managed to get https://www.wowhead.com/item=127601/glassy-silver-bracers?bonus=11070 on wotlk tw, and can only think a double socket proc would be an upgrade, but i also should just lower my autism and be fine with the gear. Saw an 11 tho with reg mag terrace gear and was thinking it must be possible to get said gear for a 20

actually you have a bonus socket of 2 str so you exchange 6 versa for 5 str and 3 crit, I think it's worth it

Edit!!!! - Problem Solved! Thank you! Must be in a normal BG!

Bros! I am running into an issue where I am not getting the accept summon tooltip to pop up on the level 20 I am summoning. I am running 4 accounts. I start off with all of them in the same group with 3 of the 4 accounts sitting inside the dungeon. Then queue a random BG. Accept on the 20 twink. Decline on the others. Then proceed to summon the level 20 twink, but cannot get the accept summon tooltip to pop up. This may be because I was in Korrak's Revenge instead of a normal BG, but I have not been able to get an epic BG or normal BG to pop in over an hour. I will try tomorrow with other BG's if I can get a queue pop. I was able to summon outside no problem. Any info that you all could share is much appreciated as I am so close to starting some grinding. Thanks!

You can summon yourself by entering cross-faction arenas with one Horde character and one Alliance character. Ask a friend to do the same, and you'll end up in an arena match together! This way, you can avoid entering combat and get summoned quickly. Another method is to queue for a regular arena and get summoned as soon as it starts. It has to be fast so you don’t enter combat—if you do, you’ll lose the chance and have to try again.

I am still learning these game mechanics for this method so apologies for not fully understanding. I am using a warlock to summon with 2 other mules to start the ritual. I have tried some methods of summoning without having the 4th character in the group, but it says that I have no one to summon due to not having the character targeted. I have troubleshooted some methods, but I have no idea how to summon someone who is not in the group directly. I think I am missing something, haha. At the moment I am just waiting for the random BG queue to pop which can definitely take awhile :D

Edit: Currently 45 minutes into random BG queue as the level bracket that the game scales the group down too has no one queueing for it at the moment it seems. WIll most likely have to wait for later hours in the evening in hopes to get this queue pop. Also, I was able to run Magisters' Terrace roughly 10 times last night before something happened, and the game kicked my accounts out of the dungeon to its set hearthstone. I may have logged in too fast before resetting the dungeon on the reset-character.

What you need to do to avoid getting kicked out of the dungeon is to not finish it too quickly. If you take your time and clear it at a moderate pace, it’s impossible for the game to kick you out. Another method is to change the leader to another character after every five quick dungeon runs when you reset. By rotating leaders, you’ll increase the number of times you can run the dungeon

You’ll need to repeat the summoning process with arenas or BGs, but this time you’ll have to summon your level 20 using the level 70/80 character you want to help you clear the dungeon. Let me give you an example: I wanted to use my druid to help my paladin, so I asked a warlock and another player to assist with summoning my paladin. After summoning my level 20, I logged out both my druid and my level 20 for about 20 minutes. When I logged back in, even though they weren’t in the same group, they could still see each other. I’m not sure if it’s a bug, but this step is necessary. If the dungeon tries to kick your level 20 out, just re-invite yourself with the higher-level character, and that’s it."

  • In this game you can't do more than 10 dungeons in 1 hour, so when you reset and try to enter for the 11th time, the game counts that you are within the lockout time and throws you out of the dungeon, although there are methods to circumvent this in normal dungeons, in this case of MT I recommend that you simply don't let it go past 10 runs and go do something else on another character, there are addons that you can use to show you how many runs you did in the last hour, I use the nova instance tracker
