How is rating calculated on Arena Ladder?

Hey I was wondering, how often does the mmr get updated? Since on the arena ladder it says I've only played 1 arena skirmish when in reality I've played over 30..

Log out of your character and click the refresh button in the arena ladder for your rating. If that doesn't work, you may have to wait a little while for it to update.
