Which base in Warsong Gulch do you believe has more of an advantage?
How does this affect FCing, or being the Offense?

Yes, I know they are supposed to mirror one another, but they are still very different indeed.

I've always found Horde base to be much more spread out, where as Alli seems so tight and close together.

Alliance base has those tight corners that make it easiest to LoS people. Horde has more rounded corners so you have to move just a tad further. That's just one small thing I have been thinking about recently.

What I was going to say^

It's easier to be on offense as alliance because the half fence on horde pretty much eliminates any chances of kiting properly as an FC.

Idk if anyone was around to remember this but Prodigy/GuP would run 7-3 as alliance but have to run 6-4 as horde because an alliance offense is much harder to handle.

edit: Also, the tighter alliance corners does play a role, albeit a small one.

Idk if they count but I voted horde just cause the horde jumps at and near the tun roof, that spot that druids and goblins like to use near roof ramp and the spot above gy seems to be alot wider and has alot more room then the ally counterpart.. Seems that horde has ALOT more possibilities then ally from tun enterance towards base

Horde tunnel is way easier to use against noobs. Alliance fr has better LoS and has a safer tun roof IMO. In pugs I would give horde the advantage, but against a skilled opponent, those horde tunnel shenanigans won't be nearly as effective.

Nothing is more entertaining than watching a video of someone who's really good at FCing on horde tunnel and is being chased by someone who can use horde tunnel just as well...

Wish I had a GIF/meme for it q_q

In the absence of a gif/meme for it, how about a link to a YouTube video?

Some really good examples of it in the video here http://www.twinkinfo.com/forums/f12/sh%E3mr%F8ck-vs-world-resto-sham-fc-laughing-skull-ftw-youtube-channel-43492/

On topic, they both have their advantages. Horde tunnel is much easier to navigate/better for keeping melee off, but can be lacking in LoS. Middle of Ally tun is incomprehensibly the safest spot in the gulch (not counting morally ambiguous climbing). I can regularly turtle there alone to 5+ stacks.

I don't think any imbalances are really a major advantage to either faction in pugs though. I find myself using the opposing side's tunnel pretty often when I can't cross mid and a return isn't happening yet.

As for gimmicky differences, Ally side favors multiple Wild Charge druids. Better LoS and 3 distinct levels that are difficult to navigate between makes them even more OP. Horde has it a bit easier with monk/lock slowfall quick caps. Ally base has the ledge on second level, Horde has the weapon rack on cap.

They're different enough to be fun, but still pretty balanced imo.

Horde tunnel is far too mainstream to be effective anymore. I've seen some pretty scrubby players navigate horde tunnel, maybe not the best, but can get the simple jumps.

I've found alliance roof to be much more challenging, but only paladins and druids can do it to its full potential.

Alliance roof provides better avoidance for classes with enhanced movement but Horde roof provides better LoS for all classes, Lots of little Nooks.

I say alliance has a bigger advantage, God Knows How many times I fucked up by thunderstorming the Fc into the little corner above ground >.>

I always feel like the Alliance base is a death trap when I'm carrying. Hardly any LoS and no jumps All you can really do is jump down from 3rd to second or run to GY if stuff goes down. Horde Base feels more open.

As somebody mentioned earlier, Horde tunnel > ally tunnel for jumps, however the tight ally corners make los far easier.
Pug: Horde base wins
Premade: Alliance base wins

And huntah lock + any class that is goblin.

Forgot about shamans. And yes hunters, locks, and goblins can technically do it but have to use a cooldown to do so, making it slightly situational.
