I am making a short list of all the high level gear that can be transmogged onto your lvl 20-29 characters (just incase they fix it).

All input would be appreciated and added to the list.

All quests in 'The Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor' that reward a piece of Gear/Weapon without a level requirement can be transmogged.

All Gear/Weapon's obtained from random dungeon bags up to level 58 can be transmogged. As well as dungeon quests.

All Battleground Crates up to level 59 can be transmogged (none confirmed between level 60 and 99), also lvl 100 Battleground Crates can be transmogged.

All Cosmetic items can be transmogged at any level.

There are some Weapons that will not let you put an 'Enchant Illusion' on them:

@Domunique are you making a list of non-standard high level items that can be mogged? Otherwise the list will be huge as basically any quest in the Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor that awards a piece of armour or a weapon without a level requirement can be mogged on 20 - 29's.

Also all items from dungeon bags up to like lvl 57 / 58 can be mogged as well as dungeon quests.

I have confirmed that bg crates up to level 59 can also be mogged (I haven't tested between 60 and 99) but I can also confirm lvl 100 bg crates are mogable.

Obviously all cosmetic items are mogable at any level.

There are also a few strange weapons for 20's that won't let you put a chant illusion on. The ones I know of are :-

This is amazing, I did not know this, I will add your knowledge to the list.

However I am still going to add to this list, because it gives players a rough idea of what's out there and if they like some of the mogged pieces on my list then they can go for them.

I simply just look at all the high end transmogs I see on players in Battlegrounds and add them to the list.

Now I feel like making a Rogue and doing all quests in Kalimdor/Eastern Kingdoms so I can pick up every mog possible for my Rogue. (along with attaining others on the side).

Also is there an effective way to look up these items on wowhead?

I'm not sure if this is the most effective way but what I search as follows :-

Under Database go to Items then select whether you want to search for Armor or Weapons. Let's go as an example for One-Handed Swords.......

I usually set the ilvl from 1 - 70 so it covers most Old Kingdom items. Then select Quality to the right, Rare for blues, Uncommon for Greens etc then Apply Filter.
Then I look for the quest items - the name of the quest is on the right.

Usually if it's a quest item then the item won't have a level requirement. That means you will be able to mog it. But it won't work for Outland and upwards items, only up to about lvl 57 / 58 for level 20 - 29 twinks.

This is how I searched for the mogs for my Vet's and F2P toons. It is time consuming but I usually go after the ones I like. Painful thing is, you sometimes have to do the same questline several times with different armor wearing toons to get all the mogs from a quest.

Good idea! I made a Prot Pali and levelled from 1 - 36 just to get the shield mog for my Warrior. But don't make the same mistake I did. I had some old 24 Cata twinks, one even had the AGM from way back and with gf'd gear but I levelled them for the sole purpose of mogs for my Vets. I guess my intention is to remain Vet from here on in, but later when I thought about it I was like.......aarrgghhhh :mad:

Painful thing is though, a lot of the good Blue items are at the end of long quest chains! There was one item that eluded me while I was sub'd and that was http://www.wowhead.com/item=63678/helm-of-the-thousand-needles. Next time I get some game time or if Blizz ever decide to bring back the 10 day trial I will certainly be going for it to complete my Warrior's mog!;)

Thank You for sharing, I will not be looking up items individually on wowhead, I'm just going to do all the Azeroth quests on both factions as a Rogue to collect all possible mogs.

I can't believe you ruined your gf'ed twinks for a mog, dw i've done some stupid mistakes too, I was an f2p trial for around 3 years, the amount of good items I vendored because of bag space makes me sick.

And yes I agree with you on that helm mog, I feel like it would complete the look of your warrior. I feel like you should have a vet/sub account that is linked to your f2p, to get some extra goodies.
 
Can you Tmog those gear with the Tmog system or you need to transmo the heirloom on your high level charracter and then send it ?

You can do it with the normal transmog system. Transmog's won't persist through the mail so if you mog it on your high level toon and post it back it'll lose the transmog.

But everything noted in this thread is doable with the usual transmog system.
 
You should change this thread to list your 2-3 favorite mog items for 20-29. People know the good stuff, you can compile the list then without it trying to tackle ALL 1-58 rewards. I'll list my 2:

This sword is very sick. Has a great katana look and handle. Sheathes on the side though unless you are monk... but still worth it.

Plate shoulders, these are excellent. There's a few other color variations, a reddish and a tanish, all available from Dungeon quests.

Yes you are correct, when I saw how many potential items can be transmogged, I decided to just post up the cool looking ones I see on other twinks in battlegrounds and such.

I already have that sword on the list. Those pauldrons are very sexy. I will add these to the list.
