I havnt played league, but oh well, you cant buy items in HoTs and the maps are quite different from the normal 5v5 dota map at least. But I find it boring=/ and from the few hours of league I've watched I would say its quite different. I like the idea with choosing your skills as the game progresses tho. But maybe I should give it a chance again...

Anyways Xenophon, let me know how interrested you are in HoTs.. You can throw me your bnet email and ill add you to the beta or ill make you a new bnet acc with it, whenever I have time during the week.

Thanks for the responses. I've been invited to the alpha, but wondered if there was any point, given the similarities to other games.

The Blizzard email mentioned something about a mount as a reward. Not sure if it means WoW mount or there are vendor/drop mounts in Heroes.
