EU+US Help Deciding

I Like them all, I want them all, but sadly I only have one set of gear for one level 101 Twink.

I just want your all personal opinions. This will help me decide, as I love all of them for various reasons.
 
Feral Druid - This would be my pick. I like stealth, I like DoTs ...
WW Monk - Never liked it really and mostly played Brewmaster because of the ox statue.
Sub Rogue - See WW Monk. If you play Rogue you gotta have to play with Daggers and Poisons aka Assassination.
BW Monk - Brewwalker Monk sounds great ^^ ... nah, had a 101 Brewmaster and the damage was freaking low, didn't like it at all. Except for the "farming old stuff with statue" part.

So Feral Druid it is. And because it is a stealth class Night Elf is the race of your choice. Vanish (Shadowmeld + Stealth) is great and increased stealth run speed is great too.

WW get Ox statue from talent. If I had know I wouldn't have level to 102 to play WW after I choose BW :( And would have still be able to farm Lovely charm at 101 in that dungeon lol
 
I don't recommend any of those classes, you listed the worst twinking classes for 101. :p
 
You guys have me hooked! I am thinking of doing a 2nd 101 Twink. Blood DK seems to be the way to go for soloing bosses. I've always loved to level Magoo, my Blood DK. You have a quest that you need to kill 10 mobs, well grab all 10 at once and you are done!

I just realized I went with Unholy for my artifact weapon. How does it compare to blood for a 101 twink?

What bosses are you speaking of? For soloing HFC mythic blood would be the only viable DK spec, but for legion dungeons you don't need that kind of survivability at all, and unholy would do quite a bit more damage.

I have a lot of respect for Mione but at this point in the expansion, 110s do significantly more DPS than 101s (about double) and since most bosses are just DPS checks, that makes it hard to compare.

On mythic Gruul I survived Inferno Slices all the way up to 23 stacks (1.5mil physical + 1.7mil fire damage baseline, so I assume 22 stacks = 7.9mil + 9.1mil) but barely made the enrage with 275k dps (which I'd consider good for a tank).
 
Yeah, Mione's always been about max level soloing, not twink soloing.

I just... can't stand... blood dk playstyle :(

Was hoping DH might be somewhat equivalent, but... guess not. :(

DoT classes are AMAZING for dungeons since everything dies while you just run through it, PVP is another story.

Also there could have been a massive gear difference, especially if you're talking about a 110WW monk most decently geared 110's will just one shot twinks which is why most wPvP twinks go Rogue for stunlock/surprise or BM for keeping distance.
 
nah i was referring to a 101 WW monk vs 101 Warlock.

I still dont rank DoT classes as being amazing for Dungeons. you are talking about a lot of hassle compared to other classes. Yes the affliction lock is majority instant cast, but considering you would need all 3 DoTs Corruption, Agony and Siphon life on a dungeon Mob to kill it, thats basically 3 casters on every single mob, while trying to run through the dungeon. if you didnt stop moving , you would pull so many, it would be a nightmare to actually target each one to make sure it had the 3x dots on it. comparing this to say the Boomkin Starfall ability, that just hits everything, and still leaves you free to move about as you please.

Also, their Gear Score is always going to be lower than the other classes, because the BoE epic items are limited to 4 slots per Armour type. Cloth users are not able to wear any others. whereas the other classes, can use more then one, this will leave your Cloth twink being at a major disadvantage on Ilvl compared to say Ele shaman, that can wear Mail/Leather/Cloth Intellect items.

Not saying they are useless, but from my experience on my own twink alts, the lock was my first and i dont even touch it now.

All you have to do is look at the Armory list on this forum, that shows a lot of the highest Twinks at 101.

Ele shaman is up at 876
highest lock is 829 (there could be higher but it is limited by the blue ilvl 800 rewards and their 4x BoE Epics)

thats a huge difference at 101.

What iLvl was your Toon vs the Monk? maybe link armory?

You just haven't figured out how to use DoT classes effectively, you need HIGH haste to reduce GCD and increase DoT ticks, you don't need to use all 3 DoTs per mob, you can just apply permanent Corruption and go to the next & spamming Siphon Life at the end of pull (or Opposite with Corruption AoE). You also need Mouseover Macros for your DoT's ideally bound to the Mouseover scroll wheel, I bound all 3 plus Life Tap to gain Mana to my scroll wheel with modifiers.

You would be correct about their iLvl being lower than some other classes, this is why I continued my Boomkin instead since it can have full BoE gear. I also chose the Boomkin due to it having much better DoT's for AoE, I would just Moonfire tag every mob, Sunfire once grouped, Insta Lunar strike procs to Starfall.

You are compared Total iLvl not Equipped, the Shaman is iLvl 853 Equipped while the Warlock is only iLvl 814 with no legendary and around -10 to -20 iLvl on equipped BoEs.

Truthfully they can't be compared, each twink is different in their own way, Rogues are OP for ST so ofc they would destroy my Druid in a duel, but they probably wouldn't come close to me in a dungeon.
 
My lock is only 802, i enjoyed starting to twink it out but then changed to try out other alts. I have no idea who the monk even was, i was just chilling in Goldshire , 101 monk just challenged me to duel, Stunned me and 1 hit me lol. Game over.

i could improve it by doing the Mythic HFC to replace the crap slots, but to be honest, at the moment i am in love my with Ele shaman.

I use mouse over macros, i suppose you could use Enemy Grid to apply the dots easier while on the move, permanent Corruption would also work i guess, i will give it a go tonight, you have me curious now.

i didnt get the legendary on my Lock either, didnt even know they existed when i started the twinking process, i got it on my Shaman and Pally.

will report back once i try it out tonight :)

Probably better than my lock's iLvl, never bothered getting the quest gear as I knew I would switch back to druid for Legendary/Full BoE. If 101 WW monks are anything like 110's don't take it too seriously their burst is just game breaking, Touch of Karma -> Touch of Death -> Storm, Earth and Fire -> Strike of the Windlord -> Energizing Elixir -> Rising Sun Kick -> Fists of Fury -> Whirling Dragon Punch = RIP. Had no experience in 3's didn't even have all my Artifact traits, went in with a team of 3 WW's think we won like 10 in a row. Invoke Xuen, the White Tiger is also OP for stuff like that.

I use interface->Names and check Larger Nameplates and Always Show Nameplates, then I just hover over the health bar and scroll.

Interested to hear your report :) also if you don't rock some decent Leech I'd suggest throwing a few Siphon Lifes out when doing only Corruption just to keep yourself up, also run speed helps as you will be out of their melee range usually.
