healers in the 20 bracket

I've never said that certain dps specs arent fotm have i? If so please go ahead and quote it. My point is that healers are clearly the most common choice in this bracket. Sure there are plenty strong dps specs but that doesnt change the fact that with my experience healers are over represented in the 20 bracket/community.

5/5 is overepresented? and calling an entire group of the tank/dps/heal trininty fotm is a joke. you cant look at wow like that or hell almost any game at all. yea healers a bit strong at the moment which will make more people than usual gravitate towards them. which isnt even unhealthy necesarily. but ive had numourous 1 healer, 0 healer games recently. and that happens way more often than 5 healers games

Well I agree that I'm at fault for using bg's only in my original post. but it should be pretty clear to any1 that plays the bracket that healer are over represented by looking around on this forum, in the open world and so on.

there are more than there has been in a while, but i wouldnt say they are the majority at all

Had 6 healers vs 0 few times. 8.1.5 broken things. Was flawless before that.
Most of the healers are levelers so it does not matter.

I have still (7 games now) every time I q as dps get a team with 0 healers. When I woke ah healer or both specs (always chosen as healer if I wud both) I have never been the only healer and had 2 games w 4 healers total in wsg. I know this has to be a statistical anomaly but its kinda freaking me out.
[doublepost=1553965935,1553965834][/doublepost]As a side note shadow is super fun in this bracket.

Well the very next game as shadow that I got after that post had 2 healers so I guess I can chill my paranoia a bit.

Brewmaster was FoTM back in the day when Keg Smash or whatever the fuck it was could 1hko people. Feral was FoTM when Ferocious Bite would global people. Survival was FoTM when it was Harpoon derp derp you’re dead less than three seconds later. Arcane and Fury are FoTM right now.

“Healers” are not FoTM. Even if they were, which they’re not, it would be a good problem, considering (as others have mentioned in this thread) there are OFTEN BGs where one faction has zero healers. Honestly, I think the only people that are legitimately upset with the current state of healers having too much offensive capability are those that play pure DPS classes that 1) Can’t kill said healers and 2) Are actually getting killed by these healers they can’t take down. I mean, I get it, it can be frustrating.

I play both pure dps specs and hybrids and my disliking of healers has nothing to do with me not being able to take them down. but why does a resto druid with 30 less spellpower than me do more dmg with every spell, only difference being that he doesnt have starsurge. And even tho resto shamans are outliers for sure they do more damage than almost any other class while still being a healer. And as I said in a later comment yeah, I should've brought up more than just bg's as my arguement, but the fact is that like 60-70 % of the people rerolling from 29 are making healers.

Because the bracket it rubbish... If another bracket was getting two pops in the same month I wouldn't touch it with a stolen dick.

not to excuse some potential fotm-ism but I think its a hold over from having to be a healer at 20 if you were gonna be viable in a world of 29s..

Precisely. I tried out an F2P SP a year ago and after a few weeks had to admit I wasn't contributing much. So I went disc and became useful. Now disc has become such a habit that I keep playing it, even post bubble-nerf (but man that hurt).

Last night in BGs things *were* weird though. Far more healers than usual. First game I went into was a WSG with 7 healers & 3 dps. At that point I started queueing dual spec, and whaddya know? All night, the game continued to put me in as healer even though there were lots to go around. Never once did it choose my dps spec.

Not that I mind, it was a fun night :)

You should really give that back.

SP in legion? It was so brokenly OP, even now its pretty strong but in legion, it was godly.

the only thing they don't have is the spell that makes boomkin one of the most prolific burst classes in the bracket? wait, that actually seems like a pretty significant difference. Admitting that resto sham being a problem is an outlier is the same as admitting that most of the other healing specs are not a problem. I think ur 60-70% reroll is a made up number, were did you get your stats from?

... that must have been why no one played it. Except Biggdog, and he's cool but he had the advantage of being 29.

Biggdog is a terrible example. I mainly play EU but ye Spriests both f2p and 29 were monsters in legion, a bit harder to master than surv sure but much scarier damage.

This has been my experience as well, have to Que as dps spec only if you want it to pop as dps it seems.
