What HB is saying, is a 29 guild taking on a 20 guild has nothing to gain and everything to lose. In that respect he is 100% percent correct.
You could correlate it with a male fighting a female. If the male wins, he won versus a girl(the percieved weaker adversary). Nothing gained...
If he loses, well, he gets ridiculed by his peers by being beaten by a girl. He is in a no win situation. So why even take on the challenge?

This was the initial point that was made when viewing this scenario, "a man fighting a woman"... the difference between this and a wargame between 29s and 20s is that a 29 can alter everything to have 100% equity with a 20. But a 29 losing abilities and switching out BiS gear kinda kills the gameplay, that's why my initial suggestion was to have 20s have different rules than a regular wargame. So to give 20s the option of what would be required, in terms of adding stuff to regular wargames to make it an equal match.
And I don't see it as a lose lose situation for 29s, that's kinda missing the whole point, its about the competition and using various tactics to achieve a balance that both opponents can agree on. There will always be underdogs and favorites, that's life in an nutshell. It's about ultimate supremacy, about stopping all the small talk between 29s and 20s and putting words where mouths are!! Who is the champion!?!? the underdog 20s who can crumble any and all guilds 20 or 29, or the min max 29ers who can fight while the opponent 20s are playing by rules in their favor?!?!
Twinking is built on having gear.enchants etc to beat the average player, 29 vs 20 are happening in BGs any and all the time, 29s being in a lose lose situation according to you even if there aren't any wargames. Wargames will just make it a bit more equal and focused.
That's just my opinion though, my goal is simply to enhance the competition in the bracket where there are hardly full 20 and 29 guilds as before.
