is it me or has the theme of the Gulch moved to some serious Turtle action? i wish blizz would add a decent dot after so many stacks are applied to a carrier that transfers to another character even if picked up... ie the flag catches on fire after so much attacking... these long games are at times... LAME
 
So it was better in Cata when FC's dropped easily at 0 stacks, where you only had to burst as much as you can and hope for lucky crits, with no CCing or tactics?
 
i play my hunter more now that i EVER did pre-5.04, in cata i lived on my rogue/priest.

i just don't like it when you work ur butt off and the game times out zero/zero.
 
Long games LOL - anybody else remember games going on for hours and hours and not bitching about it? I guess times have changed
 
No stack no time limit games are when the bracket was the most fun and competitive. 19s have developed ADD since they were both removed.
 
I wasn't in 19s for the old days of hours-long games but I played 29 twink games that were like that. Nowadays if newer twink players don't burst and kill something in seconds, they have no idea what to do with themselves. To op's original post, it's not really turtling - it's more that heals are better, resilience is better, damage and burst are nerfed and there's now a lot more of a focus on a cohesive group based return strategy rather than sending a hunter in to burst down the efc at 8 stacks. I think a lot of the community is happy with how things are right now.

Add in going to the horde roof and having picnics while just holding the flag and you have a Bloodlust game.
