Ghost Iron Dragonling?

Hey WoWheads

I made a Ghost Iron Dragonling and used the Relic of the Past (1) to set it's Ilvl to 19. I can't socket the cogwheels. It says the item is too low level. I've tried socketing them both on my level 20 toon I'm building and also on my level 60 engineer. What am I missing?

(Edit: I also failed to explain something, if youre a pure f2p twink, the process will be much more difficult to pull since Cata engineering is hard being 30+ lvl content)

Yeah I've searched and didn't find the answer so that's why I asked. As I said I have a level 60 engineer which has Cata engineering and that toon cannot socket the cogwheels either. I get a message that the item is too low level. The post you linked suggests having a toon with cata engineering socket the cogs and then trade it, but I can't seem to do that so was looking for some help...

buy cogs from the engi vendor, dont use cogs made with MOP engi

Guess i was abit hard on you here, i apolgize for that. You need 70 cata engineering and after that talk to the engineer vendor in org and he sells the cogs, the items required to craft the said cogs need to be crafted through 70 engineering cata

Thanks. That's what I was missing. I was trying to socket cogs i had crafted not the vendor ones. Thanks for the help
