Gear in legion?

Eriwen

Legend
We know that each player will have a template of stats according to specc, with a little increase per item.

Anyidea on stat changes new bis setups etc.?

I guess so

rip non inferno robe ppl

As of right now, 1 ilvl = 0.1% change in stats.

A fresh level 19 and a fully grandfathered character are probably going to be about 1% different in terms of total stats/damage.

so dark shaman set will make shamans 50% more powerful?

My guess is that the PvP levelling gear that was datamined will be placed into strongboxes and will replace much of the current gear, which includes grandfathered gear.

ilvl advantage is stupid as shit. Just going to throw that out there. We need to all jump on their asses.

Why don't they just keep scaling as it is, and just remove enchants?

Shouldn't get your panties in wad until the PTR comes out.

Have a nice day.

^I agree, but the people who conceptualize mechanics such as these really baffle me. It bugs me how I have no background in legitimate game development, yet I have better ideas that would appeal to more people than the baboons who have a degree for it.

I like pizza.

I like pizza.

i don't that shit makes you fat.

just look what happened to curley. He stuffed his face with pizza after working out for months and now he is a fucking sloth.

I was lead to believe that the advantage of an ilevel boost is to be roughly 1/10th of what it currently is....

So if a person today is 10% stronger than another player, in legion he should merely be around 1% stronger. Just what I heard through some of the wording but it obviously is not known nor backed up in stats at this point to my knowledge.

I believe yes gear will still matter, however it won't matter merely as much as it does today.

Not going to lie, I find it rather unintelligent to assume that high ilevel items will be useful to 19s in this extremely advantageous way. The game as of 2010 or so has taken the best attempts at fixing advantages such as these and should something like this make it in game, it would only be for a matter of minutes. Although yes mistakes do happen (bottled tornado, Enti's, 70 poisons on 19 daggers) they are fixed most of the time and quite promptly at that. Blizzard is well aware that there are communities looking to take advantage of every change they make and they're often quite great at fixing said problems before they become a possibility. I'm sure as soon as someone brought up the idea, someone instantly said "So could low leveled players get their hands on high ilevel items such as dark shammy and be op and break the game" and a simple fix was probably given instantly.

Just my opinion

I wish they'd just cut the cord and keep pve gear out of the equation entirely. If they let pve into the equation at all, you know they'll just mess it up.

Like you enter pvp mode with a pvp set, and then you can unlock items, with different itemizations, to min/max different builds. For instance, say I want a crit warrior, I spend my honor to unlock crit items for my account.

This way, pvp players don't have to set foot into pve if they don't want to.

Keep it pure.

I was hoping for a PvP "talent" tree only or an "enhancement" tree of some sorts. That we spent honor points on.
Another missed opportunity for Blizzard. I may very well not purchase the expansion this go round. The retail game bores me at this point.

Atm 1ilvl = 1% change in stats, in legion 5ilvl = 1% change in stats. Overall there wont be a large difference.

Still waiting on them to fix WSG exploit jumps once and for all. It's what, 9-10 years old now? But I guess it will never be done.
