So the xpoff logo us badass, and I like the red/green balks in front of each forum section depending on unread threads, but my suggestion is that the balls are replaced with something iconic to the bracket, like the xpoff logo is the iconic sfk sword and fishing hat, what if before the 60-69 bracket there was a corrupted ashbringer crossing with a thunder fury, 70 was warglaives etc etc, only downfall being: what goes between 30-59??

PS its late and I'm on an ipad

I think it's an awesome idea but I don't know if it can be done. I'm sure either @Conq, @Chap, or @Shamatix would be able to talk about this more then me.

Just dropping by to say I like the idea, seems really cool.

It would be a good idea in theory, but a logo is a symbol of the site to the customer. Constantly changing the logo will confuse people and it will be harder for them to identify with the site.

If you have a better suggestion than Engineering goggles feel free to suggest so:) We have also been thinking of a mail icon lightening up.

Oh shit, I thought they were just balls as well.

I wouldn't mind if they were replaced with something that looks a bit less.. 2004.

I had no idea they were those goggles! :D I thought they were just balls (or 'balks') - that makes it seem a lot cooler but I still think something more personalized to each section would be lovely, could even keep it as goggle but have different pair of goggles for each forum section..?

After digging around in the code, it would seem that this is in fact possible to achieve. The only problem we might face is that it could end up looking weird if we do not have custom icons for all of the brackets, so some work would have to be done researching which icons could be used for the various forums. I can not promise you that this will be a solution we stick to, but I can certainly give it a try. If any of you have ideas for icons, please do share.

More importantly why are these hosted remotedy on imgur instead of locally on TI/XPOff?

This was done for testing and development purposes. During the early stages of development, we had to make a lot of alterations to the designs, and manually uploading images every time proved tedious. If we want to make alterations on the fly, changing the URL is easier, but once things are more finalized, they will be added to the XPOff directory.
