I've heard this is the hardest class to play (EDIT: or not I don't care) and I can't seem to find any footage of them being played in Classic 19s.

Wow thanks I just saw this, appreciatedSome locks I know just dot the enemy team up and die just to get more mana.. But I see many that can FC quite well and are quite skilled.. The names are escaping me.. Dandy is one very pro lock I remember.

My name is Prchaos I main UD warlock in the 19 bracket 29 and 39 bracket in Classic and used to in retail during the WOD Era. Playing a lock is playing one of the weakest class to the eyes of almost every casual twinker at 19 that rolled a 19 rogue/hunter untill they face a good one. The skill Cap required to make it good and to make it look good is so high that nobody wants to jump into a wsg and face that stress, most casual would rather jump in and faceroll lvl 12s , and im not talking about dotnrun style im talking facing every situation to best of your abilities and gear swapping and yes sometimes you will have to use consumes to get the upperhand (Bomb , Minor Recom , Healing potion , Swift Potion(not a fan)). but when you get there when all those numbers aligne and that your positioning is so good that you can let go of stamina (mistake pool) for Pure glass canon Shadow power/ Fiery power oh man oh man you will see ppl melt faster than youd ever thought + Fear is by far one of the best CC in Game , the power to be able to randomise the whole enemy team position is just crazy and that spread dotting (if not playing with a mage) will give your team the upperhand.
I'd recommend running a stam set generally for PUGs, SP set is very good but having a large HP pool is somewhat invaluablehi, new to classic twinking, playing lock..
Nice little rundown.
still working on different gear sets, for swap, got a few pieces for a more balanced set but dont have the gold to get enchants for most me other gear. So rogue/warrior fodder for the time being.
I dont run with any consumes other than healthstone, caus broke and no main.
But, that considered, would u say fiery belt / pants are worth the loss of stm / int, or is it mostly for lolz?
this is my current set;

Suggestions are welcome and appreciated
So I do Run a set up where I have Fiery Belt , Fiery pants and Fiery Dagger and as off hand i will either use + 7 shadow spell Damage or Furbolg Medecine Pouch + 10 stamina , I like to stick around 1k hp with Imp + 8 Stam and 5/5 Demonic Embrace (Minor recom and Healing potion macro will almost heal you back to full life)
this will allow you to boost DMG on Immolate and also so many locks sleep on searing pain you can literally cast 2 Searing pain by the time you cast one Shadow bolt, each hitting about 77 dmg allowing a total of around 154 dmg in 3s which beats 111 2.8s cast time shadow bolt and as you already know searing pain will beat Wanding so depending on the situation and your mana pool big pumping searing pain is by far one of your strongest spell after putting up all of your dots this is why you would want some Fiery Power

Yea I find that my best kill potential is getting all 3 dots up, stick em in a fear, then shadowblot -> searing pain (travel time of SB more less = cast time of searing pain, so they both hit at the same time), then throw in a wand for good measure, before they can react and get out of range.
seems most ppl arent prepared for actual dmg coming from a lock which is pretty fun.
Working on gettin fire pants, well, my minion is.. xD got the belt, gonna have to look into fire dagger / OH. Good call.
Yeah I noticed most locks run full HP set or close to.. And yes it prob is the best, but I'm no team player nor have interest in premades per se, so I just want to see how much havoc I can wreck as a lock.
But eventually I'll get my full hp set and can test
As an enemy your playstyle is annoying Well played yesterday

This set gotta be a troll man lmao you have 0 points in anti resist yet u wanna be full melting mode, yeh gr8 having all them resists taking away your uber damage, you play with imp so anything sneezes at u you will be dead forget about casting, 5 points into 15% stamina for a massive 930 hp. Not to mention the manapool of 767, that mana will be gone after just putting up your 2 dots in a midfight, you will be spamming those soultap for massive 68 mana gains not casting anything.
Doing two searing pain is great except they cost more mana than 1 shadowbolt so thats going to be lovely for yah. This build looks like its great if you are being spamhealed by your team while not having any meeles ontop of you while chuggin mana pots and having the best rng in the world not having any resists.
Not trying to rain on your parade just gobsmacked by it lol
