Fire Mage Help

Recently created a mage and ik Arcane is the better spec but i'd rather play a spec i enjoy and is challenging.

In terms of gear what would be best and should i aim to stack as much crit as possible? Currently at 38% crit and im not even close to being well geared and it doesnt feel like it's enough crit.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated

Negotiator’s armbands and deep fathom ring are some easy upgrades for more crit without losing sp.

edit: Boa ring is another good option.

Fire at this level is pretty bad damage and play style wise. The only pro is that it is mobile with scorch and hot streak instant pyro. If you like fire, try 49s with it. You have the CC and combustion and that can be a lot of fun.

I'm determined to make it work at 29 but thanks for the suggestion

I've heard a few people say that while crit is good, verse is still too good to pass up. So verse even or slightly ahead of crit.
