Few questions from noob rogue lev 79

Hello,
I am completely new to twinking. I created assassination rogue alt which is now level 79. I have many alts which can create all kinds of gems/enchants and gear and I have money to buy stuff which I can't do. So I started some enchanting and reading of posts but really so many things are new for me. And i am really a noob on rogue - i find it difficult - with all those openers and usage of combo points in different situations. So i have some questions below.
1. Is assassination good for PVP (especially for a person who is yet not so proficient at this class) and is there a huge difference between other specs of rogues for PVP.
2. Is level 79 good for rogues at all?
3. Why people (here) use mostly lev 70 rogues as twink instead lev 79 when lev 79 can use mastery and has another talent at level 75 which is quite big (in my noobish opinion).
4. What are best talents for assassination rogue/enchants (I have seen lev 70 subtlety guide but I don't know if it's valuable for 79 assassination rogue)?
5. what about enchants - should i go on weapons with deadly navigation and quick navigation or other enchants.
6. Should i always enchant with an agility which is my base stat or goes instead for haste (mostly as my second stat) or crit (?) on gear other than rings (on rings i use +4 haste).
7. Should I at all enchant some gear with mastery?
8. Why on subtlety 70 guide some parts are enchanted with attack power? Should i go there with crusher on gloves or agility or haste?
9. What about versatility and PVP stat (on bc PVP gear)? Ate those stats important?
10. I mostly use heirloom gear which has some good stats for me (for now as fresh 79) and some parts from bgs and dungeons but ofc heirloom does not have gem slots and i think there is better gear out there. So what is the best place to look - WotLK dungeons or bc dungeons (bc gear have slots but some wotlk too) which scale to toon or go for lev 70 HC bc dungeons or lev 70 raids but i don't know if they scale to toon?
11. Is Touch of the Void trinket any good now? I haven't played since WOD (garrison killed me) and at that time it was amazing on lower levels but i heard stories that now is not working.
12. Is there a benefit to have lower basic stats on bc gear and socket it with gems? Can i use only bc gems on bc gear and WotLK gems on wotlk gear? Is there a big difference to have WotLK gems on wotlk scaled gear instead bc gems on bc gear even when the first ones mostly have fewer sockets?
13. Is there any site where i can calculate my toon (like askmrrobot) and check gear scaled to 79?
14. Can someone link me some 79 twinks to check their gear? That may help me immensely.

This question has been asked a lot recently. Here is my explanation from a previous thread:

Level 79s are strictly stronger than level 70s in every way.

From TBC and until WoD, the level 70 bracket was only 70-70 (only exception being a few bugged patches throughout MoP). So before WoD it never made sense to go above level 70.

As to why people play level 70 instead of 79 I can only answer for the EU realms:
People stay at level 70 because that's where the community is. If you play level 79 you're not included in guilds, premades, pve events, etc.. You're also generally looked down upon.

Basically there's a much larger community around level 70 twinking because of tradition. On the european realms level 79 "twinks" are seen as a blight upon the bracket.

Of course nobody in their right mind would level up their twink. Many players in the 70 bracket have had their characters for well over 5 years. Besides, "never level a twink" is a rule that is rarely broken without regret.
None of this would stop a 70 twink from creating a new level 79 character though.
So why don't they? Because they don't just want to queue battlegrounds. They also want a large community, guilds, access to more resources, events, raiding and tournaments, etc..

You obviously don't care about the 70 community and you are obviously ill informed about it.
The bracket was generally super toxic and gatekeeping many years ago (during cata+mop) but nowadays it's much more friendly and welcoming. So no, our bracket isn't being "preserved with toxicity", because toxicity doesn't preserve any kind of community.

But the people who twink at 70 have the PvE aspect as well, and even if it's just once in a blue moon that they'd join, they still have that choice. They prefer having that choice over making a 79 twink that will maybe one day get bracketed out or nerfed of messed over. Being in a community is a big thing. And the communities exist because of their PvE focus. You don't need a group to do PvP. Just a few friends and you're off. But for PvE, and events, and other stuff like that?
You need a guild. And to do those with some aspect of fun, you have to be the appropriate level; 70, rather than just always roflstomping everything. And be honest; no challenge = no fun. (Maybe at the start, never long term.)

Agree with what you say. From the beginning I have been supportive of 70s as I have twinked at 70 from cataclysm through to 8.0. What I don't understand is the crying/bitchy/salty attitude people hold towards 79s. It's their choice to be 79 and not 70 just like it's a 70's choice to be 70 and not 79.

When you have a barrier that you don't want to reach, you get angry at other people that have.
They weighed out their own negatives and positives, and found the negatives greater than the positive, long or short term. As a result, there's no reason to agree with those who did make the choice to take the negatives anyway.

Whatever is out of reach, arbitrarily or literally, that is something people will hate others for getting anyway. Jealousy sometimes, but not the case here I'd say. More a case of.. You chose to cripple yourself from everything but one thing, to win at that one thing.

Why are you acting like you need scientific data to know the general attitude of a pretty tight-knit community towards a given topic? I don't need to poll the 49 twink community to find out if they generally consider fury warriors overpowered or not. It's obvious to anyone who is a part of it.

I think you're vastly overestimating the "hate" you 79s are getting from the community. Most peoples feelings (including my own) are probably closer to apathy than hate. Still, the existence of 79 twinks is a negative to the 70 twinks. Not enough to warrant this "crying/bitchy/salty" behavior that you are apparently seeing. But enough to prefer that 79s didn't exist.

Kind of like how I feel about certain classes; I wish people didn't roll them or that they didn't exist in the game, but they do. And that's not the end of the world. But if someone asks me what class to roll you best believe I'm not going to suggest one of those.

A fair perspective and I welcome it What I welcome even more is that you're not attempting to assign your opinion to others as some in this thread have.

I've always been a bg/arena boy at heart, which is why I opted for 79. I personally don't care for raiding old expacs, and in EU unless you're on Argent Dawn alliance or Stormscale horde, there is little in terms of 70 community (at least from what I have seen).

hey sorry to derail but how up to date is that 79 spriest in your sig @tomxoqt , I have a 73 priest laying around on horde I havent touched in like 2 expacs and i was considering leveling it to 79 and I could use an armory to copy.

I'd say it's good overall. If you want more crit you can take the dungeon set 2 piece, but honestly the haste you get from Sunwell pieces is better for SP.
KJ Tattered Drape of Antonidas cloak beats my cloak, I just don't own it.
Dark Conjuror's Collar is better than my head.
I'd also take the offhand I have on my mage (my SP had completed the quest years ago).
Finally, in addition to the Halls of Stone ring, the https://www.wowhead.com/item=43253/ring-of-northern-tears would be my 2nd choice if I wasn't on a shitty dead realm with no old-school JCs. Alternatively, the 2 socket ring from JC is good, or the MGT Kaelthas ring.
https://www.wowhead.com/item=133461/timbals-focusing-crystal is also an excellent trinket that I equip sometimes.

SP makes an excellent twink in this bracket. My favourite is fire mage though.

Stat prio should be int > haste > versa > crit.

Read the OP and my response again. He's asking specifically why people are rolling 70 over 79. It's a really good question because the answer isn't obvious at first glance. I gave the best answer I could. Notice how there was no hostility in my message.

Now read your first post in this thread and compare. It's super ironic because it simultaneously cries about perceived toxicity while being the most toxic post in the thread.
