Few questions about 24

Hi there, since EU 39 didn't work out I wanted to try out this bracket. I have a few questions related to this.

-What is needed more, Horde or Alliance?
-What is getting faster queues?
-Are you getting any queues during the week or only weekends/specific days (random queues)?
-What do you reckon is better, Enhancement Shaman or Ret Paladin. There's so many Ret's and I would very much like to play an Enha, but without SS I don't know.

That's it for now. Thanks in advance!

Greetings , I was in your position a while back here what I found out with bit of browsing and few days in the bracket :

  1. Noticed a greater number of 24's Horde side espeacially as we get into the evening , faced premades , randoms etc while Alliance not so much I got a lot of reactions along the lines of ' oh my since when do Alliance have 24's ' .
  2. Games seem to be available at all times , queuing either mornings or evenings didn't seem to make a difference except for queus getting shorter the later it got. My average queu time as Alliance so far has been 10 minutes , I did notice queus getting shorter the more games I spammed in the evening , even got one instant queu. Apparently Horde has much shorter queus.
  3. So far I have not come accross a single enhancement so definatly go for it , did see many rets while FC'ing.

Ok, sweet. But how can Horde have faster queues if there's more people on Horde side? :s

Not more people, more 24s. :)

Most of the trials have rolled ally because it is significantly easier to gear. As a result horde queue times are shorter.

If you talking just about level 24s then;

- Alliance
- Horde
- Almost 24/7, ends most of the time arround 04:00am and starts arround 07:00/08:00am again for wsg, ab pops are a little shorter in playing then the wsg due to 15 people vs 10 from wsg
- I would roll a ret, they have insane burst damage, getting 1200+ crits with templar verdict is not a rare site. Ive just seen 1 24 ret on horde and none on alliance :)

I'd say Alliance has fewer 24s, but Horde has a LOT of undergeared 24s as well. It's not uncommon to have 2-3 24s on my team with 1500 HP who do less damage than my 20 rogue. That being said Alliance generally has more 20 hunters/paladins so it somewhat evens out. I'm not sure which frustrates me more; getting on my mage and facing 5 Horde 24s or getting on my paladin or rogue and facing 7 Hunters.

Any side can always use more. But when it comes to geared players with some common sense, Horde are in desperation.

-What is getting faster queues?

Horde

-Are you getting any queues during the week or only weekends/specific days (random queues)?

24/7

Depends on player skill. A 3 charge Templar's can wreck you if you get critted, But Enhance can wail on you and keep heavy pressure. Combined with shocks and totems, they can make you rage.

A few side notes - It's easier to gear an Alliance leather wearer. But Horde clothies can pick up some items with hit; a wand and neckpiece. Mail wearing melee are kinda equal. Some pieces have hit, others have crit, give and take. Just do some treasure chest hunting and get multiple pieces of gear to mix and match for a good set. As 24, you definitely want to quest out everything you can get. Some obscure quests can give nice rewards or a sweet piece for transmog.

The guide is pretty helpful. But the WoWhead profiler is always down, you'll have to some hard digging around for exact details.

If you like lowbie pvp with queue times that are consistent with xp on then this bracket is for you..

Alliance definitely needs more alliance 24's. Facerolled Wsg yesterday with 25 wins in a row. I would say go enhancement shaman since i think it's a lot better against the larger number of hunters you will encounter.
We get queue's everyday only about 2-5 mins wait time and that continues into late night too.

Alliance is in need of good geared players that know how to play

8/10 games are won by horde. horde has alot more 24's than ally
both teams need more FC's tho so if you want to roll one? or healer but do whatever
if you could roll ally that would be great, if you roll horde its still nice having ppl keep the bracket active

good luck in whatever you choose and welcome to the bracket!!

oh yea and Q's are around 9-11 mins for WSG
