Farming Shadowfang "faster"

Hi there!

I've recently began research on Shadowfang drops, and found out that the only bosses that actually drop it are the Oldschool-pre Revamp Shadowfang bosses. This means that the only bosses capable of dropping that sword are Deathsworn Captain, Baron Silverlaine and Commander Springvale. Now that looks hard, however killing all those bosses takes approx. 3-6min on my 58 Frost DK's.

What I did: I made 3x level 58 Frost DK's on 3 different servers + my main server (4 servers in total). Result: I was able to farm Shadowfang with no Cooldown. It means that by the time I'm done running Shadowfang keep on my 4th server - the 1st one will reset back.

Not sure if its been done before, but for those of you who are dedicated - and can spare server transfer money, you'd probably improve your chances by considerable amount.
 
Ah the undermine journal :) - do you honestly think that you are alone looking for it? There are probably 10-15 other guys checking that journal each 5th min to see any results. You might as well wait for an eternity...

be stronger, be faster, don't sleep at all, sleep is for the weak.
 
OP if you really want a SF, and are willing to server change, just farm 100k gold then buy one on a server. Much easier than spending all that time farming it.
 
I've seen it drop off a random mob in front of the stables. Pretty sure it was in revamped sfk too. some noob hit need and it was automatically bound to him. It was a total waste. Come to think of it, I'm actually not 100% sure if it was the assassin blade or the shadowfang that dropped in front of the stables.

A long time ago I was looking into farming shadowfang and I found that it had a higher drop rate off the bats.

Im sorry but Shadowfang can only drop from chests, commander, baron and the rare spawn.
 
haven't read comments cus cba but you know you hcan have more than 1 DK on a server now right?

Are you r*******? It doesn't matter if I even have 10 dks in one server - the instance limit will still be: 5 instances per server with 1 hour reset....Thus the idea of making Dks on different servers, because: A they can easily farm Shadowfang Keep. B It's easy to do Dk starting quests. C You "bypass" instance limit.
