Farming IL 28 gear in Nazmir, only getting cloth.

Honestly farming greens is going to be near impossible... you are looking for a specific type harmonious (or really whatever i guess depending on what you are doing) + a gem slot + speed... all other versions are just trash, that shit is like the same % as something like getting a Destiny

So... After 10k mobs in drustar (not that big number, i know) i got:
ALL armour slots atleas once. For all classes but mine. Not joking.
ALL weapons type atleast once. Most of them was warglaives and shields.
5 cloaks, four with socket.
0 necks and rings.
0 blue/epic/mounts/etc
____
Over 50 items with socket only. Over 30 items with tertiary only. 8 items with socket+tertiary.
20lvl+two or three 50lvl.

That was my thought as well... I farmed two epic FSS. That was a solid 50-60k murlocs. This farm doesn't seem that bad, but it's still very RNG heavy and should probably be done last.

I was looking at wowhead and found that pigs can't drop any cloth armour (which i wanted) ingeneral. There just no cloth items in their loot table, and this is why i got nothing, even after 10k kills. That's totaly make sense
Well, that was a good lesson for me.
Interesting moment, but i also can't find any Necks which will drop in nazmir or drustvar (25lvl+ location), not sure where i can farm this slot for ilvl28 with socket...

@Logica For neck/rings you can farm anywhere in legion zones for tertiary+socket. I've found 13 socket necks, 1 with tertiary, none with both, but bfa and legion greens can both proc tertiary+socket. Legion greens are tied to the areas they are found, such as relics, trinkets, and each area has different set names for the armor pieces, but all areas have all slots that drop. Rings/trinkets are unique so you'd need 2 areas, but no weapon drops in legion so you get more armor drops.

Well, i'm farming as 20lvl so items from legion locations will be for 14lvl, and their ilvl are very bad. Worst even than items from bg crates.
But i'll check it in future anyway, maybe i miss something.

I dont think we've seen Legion gear upgrade for 20s yet (though I may be wrong there) and over all it depends on the slot and suffix you're going for. If I'm chasing, say, harmonious stats on plate shoulders, I'm gonna need to farm ilvl 28s. But I might find it easier to target socket/tertiary procs on a specific suffix cloak or bracers out of WOD dungeons.
Just kinda depends on your preferred farming style, I suppose. But I also cant buy dungeon drops on the AH, and Im a deeply lazy person.

Quick comparison (didn't roll tertiary so tbc works in place of wod/bfa/legion):
That ilvl 28 green didn't roll a lucky tertiary, but comparable stat-wise, 1 socket vs 2 sockets in this armor piece really comes down to +2 agi, -1 armor, -2 crit if you use +2/+2 gems. Whether a green 28 or a blue 25 is better would come down to the tertiary roll and socket bonus if there is one imo, because as-is, I'd take the +2 agi at the loss of 1 armor and 2 crit.

nah, i mean only 1-socket slots: neck, cloak, wrist, rings and trinkets, in case of other ones we are on the same page -

Between those 2 items shown, the secondary stat difference is ~3, since 1 stat point is allocated per gem socket, so I would assume that a 28 green and a 25 blue both rolling same identical stats with tertiary/socket would indeed have differing stat weights, with the 28 being very slightly better by 1-3 depending on the hidden decimal value for your level.
