F2P PVP Server

If it's anything like my pvp servers... they'll get it by fishing.

During the tourney people are generally busy fishing and don't want to detour to gank lowbies. As long as you avoid them they generally won't go out of their way to get you, I haven't been ganked more than 1-2 times out of all 8 weekends my tauren fished for the hat, and I encountered ally 85s every time. Most of them just ignored me.

Maybe this would be different on a server with more ally but I doubt it. A lot of them won't bother with the tournament either.

after going thru the pain on a decent pop server of getting a AGM....i built my nest F2P on a crappy low pop server. cause i don't care about a pretend community, i want my gear fast and ready to roll into the BGs. i don't want to have a 20 who still 4 months later still needs a AGM or 2

Sorry I completely disagree with the pretend community...
On Bleeding Hollow PUGing BGs with 2 AGMs that took me 3+ months to get setting alarms for 300 am or 600 am...
On AP doing more premades or at a min groups of 4-5 geared community friends with still no AGMs I still WIN more BGs regularly.
75% of the community is good and having premades is definitely a huge plus. I get many more pocket healers from AP because theyre in my party compared to ZERO or near that on BH.
Its a great community with some great people.

last weekend i was fishing the tourney and popped in and out of a BG to test a battlestandard macro that i'm not happy with. so my pvp status was on. it took all of about 60 seconds to get ganked AND camped by some skull-level jerkoff (okay, he was fishing in the area anyway so it was kind of opportunity-ganking, but i had to stay dead for 5 minutes to get pvp to turn off before he'd leave me alone).

reminded me that i'm pretty happy with my decision to never roll on a p2p server.
 
The reason 85s leave you alone on a pvp server is because they rolled on a pvp server. What this means is that they don't think that killing someone 60 levels below them makes them good, like most 85s.
 
a good pvp server for f2p players would be vashj as it already has f2pers in yi and its a new players so 85s are very scarce but there are p2ps to group on so vashj is your answer
 
TBH, I don't find much wPvP on Vashj. I would point out that getting ganked by random 85s is most certainly not a problem. There are no random high levels roaming around lowbie questing areas looking for someone to gank.

To get back to OP's question. I believe that it won't work also it can be easilly done on a pve realm if everyone would turn pvp on. People are just not interested in this. We tried.

Actually this is not true. From personal experience (19 twink on Al'akir PVP EU, so hard to get gear) I know that a PVE server is a must when you are a twink and you have no 85 around you. It's almost impossible to get LFH. AGM is much harder aswell.

I accepted Aerie Peak US for having good latency AND being a PVE server. Otherwise I high likely would have say no to it.


Just wanted to say that so all know =)

Also, if you want to have world PVP on low lvl you can always turn it on. You need to make up some sort of events anyways to see the other faction running around in the zone.

Perhaps Al Akir is to populated there Ati. The toons i made on the Burning Steppes had an easy time getting their hats and agm's. No soul arround (danced with some alliance 20s though). I even won the fishing competition there while fishing for a hat on my wlock wich i got on the same day :D

But ok i never knew you also looked if it was a pve server, i atleast didnt. I guess i convinced you to choose AP there cause i allready had agm trinkets :p

twink F2P 20's are on many servers i would say when you que for BGs start looking at player list and servers they are from, and ask within BGs.

world PVP,
- if you aren't worried about AGMs, pick highest population PVP servers and start a player there
- test the servers with a level 1 and use the social to /who areas and levels
- when MOP rolls, hi pop servers will have more rerolls running thru leveling areas than low pop servers which will be short on low pop servers
- yeah blizz ganked hillbrads/southshore area, alliance have no FP there, and AV quartermaster/quest is only reason some are there and they would be hi level
- being able to stay in main cities and being able to dungeon que and BG que helped kill world PVP also

as a F2P alliance northern STV (mostly top part), hillsbrad, and ashenvale is where i run into horde
as F2P horde darkshire, wetlands, redridge, ashenvale run into alliance

they seem to vanish after that due to insane fast leveling, cause by the time a player hits 25 they get a string of dungeons and quests within that rockets them into their 30's++

Don't forget Shanker that mop will be introducing cross realm zones. How this will affect rp pvp pve servers is not really clear atm but every low level area will have alot players in it to get rid of the emptyness of low pop servers.

Im so glad that i play on a pvp server. Say only pvp servers get linked this way to other pvp servers, rp with rp and pve with pve, god i will have so much fun when mop hits :D
 
low pop servers are just flat out empty, not just in leveling areas, but in all their cities, getting a enchant/item made/etc. can be a nightmare at times

i do not believe the cross realm option will enhance or affect low pop servers and as for F2P, most paid to play players want to get to level-WTFever fast.

plus the game is becoming more overly spansive which will spread players out even more and create larger dead zones

cross realm option will give twinks areas to go into which in a way will be like open battlegrounds but just for ganking and some PVP between groups, but if imbalanced other side will AFK out and cross realm zone will be dead. many experienced players will more than likely not subject themselves to this type activity when leveling
 
@OP

Anub'arak is Horde dominant...but Horde Invasion supports both factions as well as F2P as long as they are in our vent and follow our basic guidelines. LFH is easy mode as long ago HI established a truce where fishing contest is concerned.
We (HI) used to sponsor World PvP events and will get back to that soon as we are back in a big way and are growing fast. Anub'arak has a long PvP history and many top endgame players are native to this server.

Our vent is open for anyone. Drop on by.
