f2p level 19?

I know that if you are subbed to wow you can gear up a level 20 and play it as f2p when your wow sub runs out. can you exp lock a 19 and play it as f2p when your wow sub runs out? (f2p level 19?)

I am asking as a have a new job and cant play wow enough to want to resub, but id love to keep playing and dont want to be at the bottom end of a bracket.

Yes you can. You are only not able to pug battlegrounds and arenas but you can play wargames. If you find a (vet) 19s guild with enough people, you could technically play battlegrounds and arena
