F2P BG's are fine!

Despite all the people claiming that Blizzard has taken away the ability to do bg's as f2p you still can. The post made that people dug up was from a couple weeks ago at least, and when asked about it on twitter blizzard confirmed that they had meant RATED battleground's. Nothing has changed... well except for mercenary mode, which is pretty cool.
 
Mercenary Mode work at lower levels too? Thought it was just endgame. Haven't had the chance to check it out yet.
 
You need Warlord's of Draenor x-pac to get into the capital's there. So you need to have the expansions for Mercenary mode.

Next expansion when WOD is added to the battlechest, F2Ps will be able to go there. But for now there is no way.

Doh. So we still stuck with long queues then :(
Not even if a Mage ports us?
P2P's must be able to get there. I had a 29 in my arena somehow bug out, and Leek had a turncoat in his EotS bg. And I think the turncoat in Leeks bg was only lvl 20. Maybe P2P 20?

Any account that has bought WOD expansion can get there. Vet, P2P 20
 
If you have WoD but run out of sub, you can go to stormshield / warspear. If you're a trial account with NO warlord's you can't get there even with a mage portal, my friend confirmed that.
