Dragonmaw Arena ladder for 29's

ill be xfering to dmaw once i get my agm trinket finished. i would be down for this once i get on server. as for running it, the free for all arenas are an excellent idea, but on shattered hand, gurubashi arena is stupid busy with high lvls (maybe different on dmaw) i would suggest nagrands arena area since its dead and doesnt offer any achievements.

gurabashi doesn't have los, so that's plain out, more than likely we will enf up using the wargame feature.

nagrand and blades edge have plenty of los the only issue with it is logistics but a lock could summon easily enough.

I think willy might have "have group will travel" but it adds another headache regardless.

I really prefer an arena setting that the rest of us can watch.

I do not currently have that perk. I have Kikijiki in my twink guild, which is only level 1. Franchi, I don't see how anyone is going to be able to watch what's going on in arenas unless someone is live streaming or frapsing. The only reason why I suggested what we did before (which included a few wargames) was because Daydra suggested a 'workshop' of a sorts for interested players. I think you're suggesting something entirely different.

i like the idea of using the gurubashi, nagrand, and blades edge arenas and since the area is out in the general world and not instanced, you can have spectators and if need be referees. the problem with it would be someone flying in and distrupting the matches but a high lvl or two could help prevent that. i would love to watch if possible. im not sure about war games and how they work cross faction, if its not possible to war game horde vs ally that would make the actual arena areas a must.

Yes willy the arena ladder and the workshop are very different concepts. Mine was a suggestion of nitty gritty suggestions, focuses on teamwork, ect. Arena ladder is more competitive. Both seem like good fun though!

ugh! Got any real good friends for that?

Well that's the point of using the ones in outlands really (i don't like gurbashi do to the lack of pillars and such), we can have the workshops at the same time, and people like me can watch the real pros duke it out live for the top slot on the ladder.

Getting enough people to have a functioning arena ladder with at-least one person per team frapsing just seems impossible, i know i couldn't fraps or live stream while playing, my poor little computer would asplode.

My thought was that if we had an arena ladder we could draw in more people, and it would give people someone to go to for help with their class/role that they know is good at it.

and sorry about ditching you invent like that when i have to run i have to run, gonna be tied up (not in the good way) until 9 or so tonight now, only able to escape for a few minutes at a time lol.

I'm hesitant to say I'm down for arena tourney stuff, both time and skill constraints on my part.

Mainly I just don't see myself being able to survive being a focus target in a 2s match on my priest, I'm no where as experienced or invisible as I am in 2s with my rogue

I suppose I could find a level 25 guild to join.

If we're thinking of an arena ladder system where we do war games and keep track, I don't see why we would need to fraps it or live stream. Not sure many would watch it anyway. To tally results each team could take screen shots and if someone was that motivated/interested they could also fraps or live stream it. I am just not sure it's absolutely necessary. I think that an arena ladder system would work just fine if we all showed up to Gurubashi and then coordinated teams from there, queuing up for war games.

As far as a workshop type thing goes, we wouldn't need to use the arena for actual combat, so it really wouldn't matter if we went to Nagrand or Blades Edge Mountains. We could just use Gurubashi for the actual Q&A and strategies part, then just queue up for war games to practice. I am envisioning doing both each time we meet, possibly taking an hour or so for the workshop thing, then afterwards having some skirms for ladder standings.

I'd even be down to help out with the workshop, I have a pretty decent knowledge of all classes and good strategies to use in pvp, both arena and BG wise. I'd just be a little reluctant to take on that kind of a task because I'd rather avoid any unnecessary forum drama that could arise.

:) like the interest. As soon as I can get a commitment from the type of player needed to co-ordinate it I will post details. It will likely be a monthly thing on an off game night. I wish I was more available and a bit more well versed in other classes to run it myself but I'm not. I'll make sure whoever heads it up is. We did one before with a great turn out and ran D/O type set ups using the arena putting some focus on los, kiting, cc it was a fun time. I'd like something a bit more indepth though with a wider array of classes to contend with.

Character transfer is underway. I shall be there to participate in the shenanigans shortly!
