Hello, people. I'm here to share something rather fun that some may already know, some may not, who knows. It is nothing gamebreaking really, but it opens a decent enough window of fun that I deemed it worth to talk about; https://www.wowhead.com/spell=54793/frag-belt and https://www.wowhead.com/spell=56460/cobalt-frag-bomb don't share a cooldown, despite being technically the same item. That means that if you have the belt equipped and bombs in your inventory, you can throw 2 bombs at once. Better yet, as they don't incur GCD's upon activation, one may attach them to skills and throw the bombs in rapid succession, as well as incorporating their damage in the DPS rotation. They're able to critically strike too, which may translate into a decent damage boost.

Here are the macros I use:

I use this one on my Survival Hunter, attached to Raptor Strike. The [@player] modifier essentially removes the need to aim the bomb as it makes it so that it is always thrown under my character, which basically guarantees the bomb to hit in melee range, especially when combined with Harpoon or any sort of incapacitating effect.

Following the same principle, I use these two on my Fury Warrior:

*I don't actively use this one, but I'll throw it in here anyways. The modifier this time is [@cursor] because since [@player] throws the bomb directly where your character is standing, it is completely incompatible with Charge, which results in your character throwing the bomb first and then charging, thus automatically missing the bomb. By using [@cursor], the bomb will hit as long as you have the cursor on the desired target before charging. This one is very goofy though, I made it mostly to meme, so take it with a grain of salt. I was just trying to make some stupid shit and ended up with a living bomb Warrior macro. While fun, it is dogshit in a practical situation.

Alternatively, you can simply make an independent macro including both bombs in a single button for a more strategical use. Instead of incorporating the damage to your rotation, you're aiming more for a disruptive playstyle. This is especially useful to shut down healers and casters in general. The modifier is up to you, I use [@cursor] because I find it faster to throw the bombs where my mouse is at than to slowly aim them with an indicator.

That is it, just thought I'd share this in case people don't know about it. Now as to how viable this is, well, it depends really. If you feel like you need some extra damage, you might consider this. Or you know, if you really hate healers and want to make their lives miserable in a BG, you might consider this too!

    Have fun =)

Thank you for this! I was trying to get Frag to work last night with @target, I'll try @player tonight.

why not castsequence then? what's the benefit of always casting them at the same time?

with castsequence, you can spam the key twice if you really want a kill

You're not casting the bombs at the same time though, the intent is just to have two bombs at your disposal. They're always thrown independent of each other. Even with a macro that binds both bombs to the same skill like the Raptor Strike one I mentioned, it goes Raptor Strike > bomb > Raptor Strike > bomb, just the same thing repeated twice.
