51 Things I'd like to see.
TLDR at the bottom.
  1. The game needs to be streamlined with a emphasis on customization and non-linear questing/leveling.
  2. JP/VP needs to be a thing for pvp from level 10. Individual PvP Ranks need to be given to all brackets to unlock additional cosmetic items. Not stat based gear! Only cosmetic! We don't need even more OP 1% gatekeepers in the twinking community.
  3. All pvp gear needs to scale to 10
  4. All pve content should scale from levels 1 to 10under endgame.
  5. All xpacs need to have the same loot rules updated to the most recent if it is a better system.
  6. Return Master loot
  7. Allow players to trade items despite if its an upgrade.
  8. Allow all gear to be tradable.
  9. Have an expensive unbinding process (remove soulbind)
  10. Have ilvl be based off spec effectiveness and not just stats or legacy positioning.
  11. Highlight main secondary stats for each spec in the character sheet (C) or a note in the Spec Page (N)
  12. Allow the toggling of crafters name on gear.
  13. In game Scaling calculator. Shift click into item interface and adjust level.
  14. All dungeons in the LFD system need to match the walk in level requirements.
  15. All tooltips need to be fixed to show proper level req and if usable the observers scaled version.
  16. Trading of items in LFG/party scale to the level of the recipient. This should not work in Legacy loot.
  17. Borrowed power systems need to return and be actively balanced or be removed outright. (including HOA)
  18. All set bonuses need to return with scaling stats and effects much like looms.
  19. All items in the game need to be reset. this also means all our GF gear RIP! (I know that isn't popular)
  20. Loom system needs an overhaul to allow any item to be turned into an heirloom through spending rep or JP
  21. reputations and professions need to be more closely tied together.
  22. Class order halls should be the player/class housing of EVERY expac.
  23. Timewalking events need to be constant and all unlocked at the same time.
  24. Timewalking loot needs to have a huge focus for the new loom system and not a endgame ilvl catch up mechanic.
  25. All raids need to have touch ups to allow level 1 through endgame timewalking.
  26. Reforging needs to return to allow more customization of spec.
  27. Return all old stats such as spirit, resilience, resistance, and Multistrike.
  28. Have world quests exist for every faction starting at level 1 only gated behind rep.
  29. Have all factions have dungeon grind and or mob grind Tabard for rep starting at friendly.
  30. Endgame needs to have heavier focus on the zones that already exist.
  31. Account over Character: Alt Friendly systems and catch up tokens earned on your main for your alts.
  32. Cross faction PVP and PVE (we come together each xpac to end it and yet still cant start one together)
  33. Server merging.
  34. LFG system returned to level 1 but only for accounts that already have a boosted level equivalent character.(whatever boosted level is at that time)
  35. No more Horde/Alliance dungeons in BFA(walls on content you can just walk to is dumb)
  36. NON-LINEAR questing.
  37. Remove BFA as new player experience and have them start at level 1 on exiles reach afterwards they are dropped right next to chromie.
  38. Have a cinematic explaining chromie time as they arrive.
  39. As they pick their desired xpac for the first time play the opening cinematic for said xpac.
  40. Redo the Match making systems to better tech.
  41. Move chromie next to the Portal rooms.
  42. Remove the Speed = wait penalty at the end of dungeons using LFD.
  43. Develop an in-game data-base (atlas loot)
  44. Develop in-game Meters for combat and etc.
  45. Allow all UI to be adjustable in size and position.
  46. Have class/spec oriented UI
  47. Have each players default Party UI be the same in position from top to bottom.
  48. Allow everyone to queue for the next dungeon via LFD at the end of the run instead of the leader and sometimes other random people.
  49. Allow everyone to mark targets and positions
  50. Expand upon the https://www.wowhead.com/spell=72221/luck-of-the-draw buff to include secondary and or tertiary stats
  51. Allow flexible Instance PvE parties.
  52. Tooltips show min level req of boe/bop in your inventory/equipped

I could go on all day thinking of one thing after another.
I could organize this better but meh.

TLDR: ALOT

You forgot Tier-sets. The main reason why modern raiding sucks as of now and gearing isnt that special anymore.
(Edit: If you mentioned Teir sets in that long list then I apologize for the lack of prowess on behalf of my eye sight.)

I know this is off topic but, this is something I’ve kind of seen people post on here and there.

Wow community: I don’t like ff14 and not into furries.

Also WoW community: let’s nuke Azeroth just like ff14 and let’s add humanoids that look like the furry to non-furry chart.

Cata 2.0: switching around level brackets on content as well as include/shift old content into new content.
much like cata this might include a change to the overworld.

Been Hearing more and more youtubers and streamers talking about how a cata 2.0 might be better for the game than a completely new expansion.

Do you agree?
Do you think there is way to much content in the game that is unutilized?
Do you like having 5-10 new levels of rat race more than the idea of a cata 2.0?
What kind of changes would you want to see if we did get a Cata 2.0

PANDA CLASSIC !

I dont agree with all of this (and I vehemently disagree with a good chunk of it) but I think at this point, any concerted effort to redesign the game will have to come down to addressing most of these concerns.

I think, in short, a lot of peoples discontent with the game could be solved by them focusing on the "RPG" aspect of the game and not just the "MMO" part. That involves doing a lot of things people wouldnt like at first, but would ultimately (at least in my opinion) make the game more enjoyable for almost everyone.

Removing LFG/LFR tools, removing portal hubs, removing flying mounts, actually making the game *less* alt friendly, removing world/pve scaling, doing a "cata style" reset every 2 xpacs or so, return to a dungeon/raid attunement system, slowing down the content development cycle (seriously, the hogs hooting at the content trough every 8 weeks demanding a constant churn of new shit to look at are as much at fault as any game designer) and a number of other changes and reversions to make the game more immersive would do wonders for people's sense of accomplishment and enjoyment.

The game was at its peak in both content and population when it was also still deeply inconvenient to do things and the game required you to commit to difficult choices. Those things obviously werent turning people off to the game, it might be time to revisit them as design philosophies.

When LFD come out I knew this type of convo was going to be a thing years down the road.
Also the lack of conversations or anything on that matter when joining LFD is beyond sad. Even when stuff goes downhill in the dungeon run, theres like 0 interactions. Maybe a little of "X player, do this or do that, beware X. Play your class better, X player!" goes along the way but members just straight up leave the group without any further notice or hesitation especially Tanks.

Because why try to nurture a bad group through a dungeon when you can just leave, que back up and instantly get another group

When it took you an hour of standing in SW posting "Tank/DPS/DPS LF2M SM" and then another half hour of traveling out there... you didnt just bail on your group after one bad pull. For better or worse, you made that shit work because it was preferable to having to find a new group.

Problem is, it takes me an average of 20-40min tops to que up a dungeon as a DPS. And compared to Tanks and Healers, they have abit faster que times. Infact if I can recall, I used to roll a healer spec as Shaman to que up the brewfest dungeon faster than a DPS.

This is a different story entirely, if its based on end-game players then yeah I guess it aint worth nurturing bad players. But speaking as a twink and getting partied with average levelers, it just doesnt hurt to step out of your comfort zone and perhaps tell someone whats right from wrong. Of course, if he refuses to cooperate then its his problem I tried my best. 5 of us are still like playing the earliest content the game has so youre basically not losing anything. (Maybe losing time if one can argue.) Thats at least my opinion on the matter.

Also is it even possible for twinks to use the general chat? Or its just a vet thing and f2p players can bite the dust?

We could skip wotlk and cata all together. Now hear me out before you crush ne. Wotlk has 1 good raid in whole expansion and it became useless in next patch (ulduar and 5 man icc dungeons made it useless). Cata was good for pvp but only alpha of mop. Mop didnt have most raids, but they were interesting, same with twinking and pvp.

a twink with sub time has all the powers of a xp-on player except they cant use LFG(not lfd) until 50.

I tried to coach normies for years. Always got asked why am I so helpful. Eventually I realized it's due to the majority of others being selfish. 1 death = leave. DPS pulls once = ban. Someone steps out of class dependency even if they 1 shot mobs/boss = ban

2nd half of lich onward made babies out of new players.

Back in mop, i could solo icc 10 man as 80 lock. Hc couldent solo gunship. Destro, sac pet. 230% mastery aka 300% self heal (3x bar full on 1 tap) on tap and damage was insane. Fun times

Thats my Lock when i started bg lvling. 81 so lost allready most stats as scaling. But still had super fun time. Mop was fun. I also had Ele shaman but it was mid making when nerfs of prepatch happened. Never saw that glory.
