DM changes!

Hi there!

Noticed some changes to the DM today:

1: New toy: Sparklepony XL for 150 tickets.

For low level (e.g. f2p in my case):

2: Fishing in open water is useless. All you get is junk. You have to fish in the wreckages now to get Darkmoon Daggermaw and those for the profession quest. No Bloated Thresher anymore...

3: I was unable to loot Moonfang. Neither does healing another player work, nor doing damage to Moonfang itself. May be because of the new loot rules from patch 7.0, I don't know... Rip pet and toys... (Maybe you just have to be in the raid, but that was not necessary before)

Has anybody more news from the DM?

Well if moonfang cant be looted, there goes my character jump x10 to get x3 pets per kill.

Thanks for the heads up on the toy. Yeah I noticed the fishing also. Even with fishing attachments you can't get any fish as F2P. I was able to fish on my Vet with 300+ fishing so there goes my 10g from the threshers on the F2P's darn it :mad:

Although I don't play my F2P, this is some bullshit and I'm seriously tired of Blizz putting stupid Character Level and/or Profession Level walls on anything. There's NO VALID REASON for blocking anything on the DMF Island from any Character Level, that's always been the point of it, that even Level 1's could enjoy the Faire.
 
You can still fish up Daggermaw and bloated threshers from open waters. It's just randomized now with skill level, so mostly you'll get junk.
 
and rip to the daggermaws i use to bot fish them over night and get around 3k for about 5 hours of fishing over night
 
Thank for the toy info!!

I have 600+ on a couple of my twinks and I was able to fish up daggermaws and threshers in open water today.
I did notice people complaining that the fishing quest item was not dropping for them. I have not had a chance to check that out. I have been rather busy.
If anyone needs a few daggermaws let me know!!
 
Even at 390 Fishing you still pick up quite a bit of junk in DMF open water. Check out the below :-

Took a while to get the Quest fish. I'm wondering if you need around 450 or 525 to have no junk fished up. I'm thinking it may be 525. Not sure why they made it such a high fishing zone. It completely puts it out of the reach of F2P's, well at least those that don't want to fish for hours for 5 or so Daggermaw's.

You stop getting junk at 600.

DMF is technically a Cataclysm zone, so 525 would make the most sense. Odd that they'd make that decision though, since the monthly fishing quest is available at 75.

Oh well.

Like I said, you stop getting trash at 600. So the minimum for trashless casts is 400, assuming you have access to the +200 doughtnut fishing attachment

Edit: Nevermind, even at 612 I was getting trash. I'm just going to assume it's 700.

You get trash at 700 to. Its most likely added to reduce all the dumbass bots that we're farming and selling daggermaws on the ah. Not pointing any fingers here @Gokku
