dont forget 20% buff on penance healing/dmg. i give it an hour into 5.2, before all those SP's go disci
 
I was gonna write inb4 all spriest bads go disco... But then it crossed my mind... Shield figures don't show on the scoreboard so no chance of any 'epeen flexing'. Griefing players is harder on a healer.

can someone explain the change to me in numbers? from what i read your heal will now not heal twice as much, just put a shield on the target? say u crit heal 1500 normally, which will give a 500 shield. the change will make u heal 750 and give u a shield for 1500? that isnt such a huge buff is it?

the power word shield buff is sick tho :p 2x absorb

the power word shield buff is sick tho :p 2x absorb

All crit heals convert into shields, plus you can add PW:S which has a 10% chance of applying double absorb (~1200 each)

That gives a potential ~4k ish shield.

I can't be sure of PW:S numbers tho as I don't have a 24 disc...
 
in pvp combat on my disc i heal around 720 with flash heal and absorb around 830 with my shield. the thing that'll make disc op next patch isnt shields, it's gonna be 30% less dmg taken :)

24s don't make healers to heal their team, they make healers to run flags and pocket heal other 24s that are running flags. Healing and playing support roles is a concept lost on them entirely. I haven't seen one disc priest 24 that didn't make me lmao at their incredibly slow decision making and purely self-preservation oriented play. & 80% of the time I have one on my team, half way through the game they'll groan and exclaim they should have just stuck with shadow.

A buff to a support/heal class isn't going to make 24s play them.
 
I think it's a nerf :p. Divine Aegis has a cap - 40% of priest's max hp in 5.1 and 60% @PTR. How the change looks in numbers:

- example nr 1 - abstract numbers - Flash heal non crit heals for 1000, priest's max hp = 2000
5.1 FH crit:
2000 heal + 800 DA absorb
PTR FH crit:
1000 heal +1000 DA absorb


- example nr 2 - abstract numbers - Flash heal non crit heals for 1000, priest's max hp = 2500
5.1 FH crit:
2000 heal + 1000 DA absorb
PTR FH crit:
1000 heal +1000 DA absorb


- example nr 3 - abstract numbers, 2 crits in a row - Flash heal non crit heals for 1000, priest's max hp = 2500
5.1 FH crit:
1st: 2000 heal + 1000 DA absorb
2nd: 2000 heal + 0 DA absorb (1000 = DA cap)
PTR FH crit:
1st: 1000 heal +1000 DA absorb
2nd: 1000 heal + 500 DA absorb (1500 = DA cap)
 
huh doubt the bad shadowpriest will be able to handle healing.... they can't even look at peoples health unless its on the other team...

I heal the whole team im a shaman healer I dont try to run flags unless the team needs me to I like healing the group it helps us win and its why I was a healer. I would go shaman restro there all most un kill able and have the extra amour plus the buff that increases health up to 3k-4.9k when taking alot of damge and your heals also get better crits.
My normal heal is 979
1/3 times heal is 1.2k crit
1/6 heals 1.8k crit
plus wave heal which is a constant 300 health heal and some times 1k at times.
