Do you consider the imbalance of holy paladins anything but extreme? I don't.

I can already imagine MOP's post mortem circa Blizzcon 2014: "In hindsight, halving damage and doubling healing wasn't a good idea. Neither was reducing and normalizing mana pools and spell costs without reducing mana regen by the same amount. Rest assured that we won't make the same mistakes in Titan."
 
The only game I managed to stay through was one I had with Swagduffle (Yde<3)
She was FCing with 7-8 stacks. 2 24's and 20 on her, and she STILL didn't die. Just ran and healed.
You know this shit is broke when game mechanics for Warsong Gulch debuff aren't even noticeable.
It took a bum rush at 9 stacks, with a spam of interrupts to finally drop her.

I guess the other team didn't have HPals? A single Holy Shock could probably kill her. I don't get why Blizzard would make something that is obviously broken live. What is a beta for?

The other team had a 24 premade with a 24 hpal, and two 20 hpals.

I managed to solo a 24 lock at 7 stacks and kite through the offense Bizr described at 8 stacks. I actually had a 20 hpal on me then as well, dropping me to 200-400 hp in one holy shock, but I managed to time my own ridiculous holy shocks and 1.9 k flashes right and got rid of them with Speed of Light. I think I'd really be enjoying that one if the rest wasn't so broken.

I only died at nine stacks to massive CC, damage dump and as a finisher a 20 hpal's holy shock for 1.4 k.

HPals aren't simply OP, they're completely broken, in my opinion.
 
ended up dancing/emoting with a druid in a remote corner of wsg cause we couldn't kill each other. i'll give this game a chance though, in perhaps the (futile?) hope that blizz does something.

by the way, it's my 100th post! What do i get?
 
I like many of the changes so far although I too hope hpally damage is reduced soonish. The situation is very similiar to rogue ambush damage back when as someone else stated. Blizz fixed that pretty quick and I expect them to do the same with hpally damage. But then again Blizz just might not. Often their actions are truly inscrutable.

I played my srogue, hpriest, fdruid and hpally yesterday with results in line with the above statements. The least fun for me were priest and rogue.

Hpriest now has to stop to heal due to the loss of renew so I may respecc disc for penance. Srogue was weak with few ways to get away if the opener doesn't succeed. I may repick my talent and get the blink/stealth one. I mainly world pvp with him on Illidan so I need to be able to get away as I never have a healer.

Fdruid is powerful but I don't think too powerful although that just might be my lack of skill playing it. Hpally needs a nerf.

But for me all the changes are awesome due to one thing: hunter tears. And if it makes some of the idiots unsub (can you unsub a f2p account?) then all is good. I may even start playing my hunter again.

What I've learned today;

-Every class is now a 2 button class

That. As prot warrior they took away 3 abilities, and i find it hard to play without them - Heroic throw (Gag order talent: Silence for 3 seconds + Nice damage), Rend (My most damaging ability when combined with thunderclap) and Battle shout a very important ability to get rage. And the only thing i get in return is Shield Block? /sigh
All i can do now is shield bash wait 6 seconds shield bash wait 6 seconds and so on. Thats my only source of getting rage - i dont even get rage by taking damage anymore. I dont know what Blizzard had imagined, but i sure hope they fix it very soon.
 
Any feedback on ele sham dmg?Is it now viable? I am rerolling with a friend (getting him into f2p) and thinking gobsham.
 
The same huntards just started playing holytards. They already had their keys bound to their face so it was easy to make the change.
 
ele shams are extremely viable now with the opness of healers. IMO a tauren sham would be best . you would also want to spec into engineering .
over all you would have
purge
shear
stomp
thunerstorm
and bombs all to interupt the pesky heals
 
I love all these "'X' Class is more viable now thanks to OP 'X' class" posts. They aren't more viable, they're crutching on OP classes/abilities/broken mechanics.
 
I know the class very well and it's utility - I was a bit curious if the dmg is on par to other dps post patch.

If I wanted OP I would just play my already geared healadin or druid :p For me it's fun to mix it up.
