COTUS's Guide to Not Being Bad as a Level 20 Twink in BGs

Are there any addons that track enemy cooldowns in BGs automatically (even if I have to manually assign which ones)? This is the biggest PITA overall, keeping track of multiple players' cooldowns.

there are. for example, in deadvulcano's videos, i saw that he uses an addon which tracks each player's individual CDs as part of their unit frame above their heads, which i thought was really cool/useful. my computer is pretty shitty, so it can't handle something like this. if someone has a specific mod that they use, i'll post it here so people can check it out.

I am offically convinced that I am a baddie.

As a level 24 twink rogue, if I see that you have over 1000 hp it's unlikely that I'm going for you lol. So at the very least by getting 1200 hp you have one less player even going for you

All I read was "I GO AFTER SCRUBS"

get out

Paying attention, knowing what other classes can do, and communicating is vital to a BG, no matter what bracket. Those are good tips. Large HP pools isn't a good idea, because you can easily tear into your prime stats and gimp yourself.

Good attempt at a guide none the less.

I have yet to see a single player in this bracket (24 twink or otherwise) bracket that is capable of killing me on my 24 rogue in a 1v1 setting. So does that make everyone in this bracket bad? And if it does, inevitably by killing ANYONE I'm going after a scrub right? Self slammed imo.

this is where you went wrong: a f2p capable of killing a p2p geared twink. AND 1v1ing a rogue at that level is laughable regardless of gear.

"Guides" Should go through a screening process.

Haven't you used Google before? Any idiot can make a guide and post it on the interwebz (and I'm not talking about Cotus here but making a point).

Here on TI people write guides all the time. Only if they're good do we add them to our guide section. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this one won't be moved to the guide section. Sorry Cotus.

Makes me wonder who your rogue is cause i haven't met a 24 rogue who is actually good except for bracketruinr.

I havent seen you in game if those are all of your 20-24 chars. Not to mention all you have on Horde side (I'm Alliance) is that one lvl 20 rogue (which is damn near one shot territory with a decent ambush from me and a white swing crit lol). It would certainly be difficult to assert my superior skills if all it takes is a sap opener>Ambush>Evis combo :-/

This is where you failed at reading. There are a number of horde 24 twinks, how are they at a disadvantage? And as for rogue 1v1's being "laughable" at this level, I'm sorry you feel that way. I think that under the right circumstances any number of classes could compete with a rogue 1v1, but that's obviously assuming equal gear and equal skill (this is the important one).

My good sir, where can I find a guide that will teach me skill, how to play, and not be bad at level 20?

I expected you to be horde and not one of those make it easy faceroll side rollers. And who needs to open with sap on a 20 with a 24? like i could see you comming and run away... explains alot why you rolled a 24 rogue
<

Btw: didn't see you giving the name of your 24 rogue. So who is it?

Well I kinda wanted it to be a surprise until I was done with gear, but since I already posted a SS of me in a WSG I may as well just tell you all. I didnt realize Alliance was so stacked, I've seen a pretty healthy balance of wins:losses so far in WSG but maybe that's just because I'm relatively new. I just rolled on the server where I had access to my BoA items lol.

Still imperfect because of:

All three professions (JC/FA/Engi)

AGM

Rings

Bracer (not sure I really want to try this hard yet)

Ranged wep (makes me midly irritated that my BOA is getting replaced by an item that had a guild named <Glass Shooter FTL> after it lol)

Legs (I actually have my Petros with the armor kit already used on them but I dont want to equip them just yet. I think they'll be a present to myself after I'm done with AGM+professions+at least one ring)

^My former 29 rogue, sorry if the gear looks silly it's my pure AP set (from during WotLK so the itemization is different than what it would be today).

I wonder... do 24s accually take skill to get over double any 20s AP/SP/Stam...

I wonder how much skill it takes for a 24 Rogue to run around killing 20s w/ extensive 'limits', while you can basically... 1 shot anyone w/ about... 1k hp?

Just something I wanted answered :]

Please, parties... Tell me, how hard a 24 Really is... Tell me if you accually use more than 2 buttons.

OH, and.. why'd you roll ALLIANCE, ROGUE and 24?
