Cooking Recipes

With Pilgrim's Bounty almost here I thought I'd get a handle on the purchasable recipes (there's a couple drop-only recipes in there too). You can power level Cooking to 375 next week.

Pilgrim's Bounty is almost upon us and the beauty of that event (considering we can't complete all the achievements) is that you can power level cooking to 375 in a crazy short amount of time. It should also be noted that we don't benefit from anything over skill level 130, with the exception of the Northrend recipes (so they're only worth buying if you feel like collecting recipes).

Fishing Suppliers
Vendors on Both Continents
Kalimdor Vendors
Eastern Kingdoms Vendors
Outland Vendors
Holiday Recipes
Northrend Drops - These drop from mobs in Northrend, the only way to acquire them would be to group with a P2P and then roll on the drop.

wht is the max recipes that we can get since we can't get the dalaran cooking reward ones, or a couple of the shattrath ones...

I wonder if it's even possible for twinks like us to actually max it to 450 ?
<
That is my question as we atleast can't get the Dala ones for sure, we're able to get the Mood meals tho' i think, tho' that would be a pain in the ass trying to "farm" them outside of instances.

in order to train Grand Master Cooking, you need 33g. Our Cooking cap is 375.

not really the scope of my list, but add the above to what you can get from the trainer with skill<376 (which looks to be about 38 more recipes). & maybe some quest-only recipes out there.

...might address that later after I make sure this list is cleaned up. The point of my list right now is to figure out where I need to fly to to purchase missing recipes. (i'd actually like to re-organize it by location somehow).

You know there is an addon for this, right? It even interacts with your TomTom, and works for all professions:

Acki's Recipe List.

You're welcome!

i used to use that some time ago...but as far as i'm aware i still have to sit down and map out where every vendor in Azeroth is if I want to go out and grab them all...which is the point of my list.

You're welcome!

note: i'd like to further sort each list from north to south, but haven't gotten to it yet.

Well okey but we are able to max to 375 indeed right ? and the easiest way to do that is wait for Pilgrim's i guess ?
<
sorry for me not bothering to check the requirements on Cooking i just expected us to be able to learn to the max.

Acki's lets you sort every recipe by several different factors, shows you the multiple places it can be obtained, and allows you one-click access to add as waypoints to your TomTom. Having a single, in-game resource that tells you -all- the recipes, how and where they are obtained, and automatically takes you to them, is infinitely helpful.

Yes we can get 375 cooking, click my sig for my armory. The easiest way to max cooking without Pilgrim's Bounty is to level cooking as you're leveling fishing (also to 375). But with PB around the corner, yes you could wait til then as well.

hmmmm...never used tomtom...might just look into it. thanks.

Actually, I had never used it either, although I had heard about it. Rhaellia turned me on to TomTom though, and she's also the one who told me about Acki's. I downloaded both of them together and really liked them both! Hope your experiences are the same.

i can confirm, you can skill up cooking only via pilgrim bounty recipe till 375. btw wowhead is actually wrong, the turkey stew recipe stay green till 374 and turn grey only at 375. i have a screenshot of it to prove.

it's the only way for a ftp to get cooking skill capped unless you're protected by an high lvl.

edit: the last part isnt exact, i think you can get to 375 also via sw dailies even if can be extremely slow.

i'm now at 500+ cooking skill, i got to 430 with Pilgrim's so 430 atleast is the max u can use the turket, i ain't got enough experience with F2P to know what the "cap" there is but atleast 430 with [Slow-roasted Turkey] Even tho' it turns grey u can of some weird reason still skill with it even like twice each until about 415 i think.

Are you sure? Does your proof show that the recipe was actually still green at 374 cooking or does it show that you were still getting skill-ups? Because the recipe for slow roasted turkey turned gray for me at around 350 cooking, but I was still getting skill-ups by making it. Was also pretty nice getting 2 skill-ups each time I cooked it.

I got a point at 433, sick of killing turkeys on all my toons so that's good for me.
