Comprehensive Profession Guide for lv20 F2P

Great post, really informative for people just getting into the bracket like myself.

Fantastic guide! Thanks for all the info. I really enjoy professions as a way to min/max my character when I'm not having any luck with boss or chest drops.

Thanks again.

I just created a F2P toon, and it capped me at 150 for Fishing and Cooking (and I'll assume it's the same for all professions). "Starter Edition cap reached."

Go to your trainers for Fishing and Cooking and you will see that you can train higher than 150.

For primary professions (such as skinning, leatherworking, enchanting) you can only level the profession to 100 (unless you have a racial bonus).

Ruwin, what Mialo said is correct. Do not drop engineering! It stays equipped but you lose the stat benefits, and once you take it off, you will not be able to equip it again.

If you like the looks, keep trying for WBFH and LFH and transmog before dropping engineering. :)
Jeph, you're not really gaining anything by keeping the goggles equipped, so I'd also keep going for the other headslots while relevelling eng, I'm afraid. ^^

Also I love (ab-)using this new system. You can't stop me!
BWAHAHAHA!

Okay, thanks. I hadn't dropped it yet. It just stinks I took Engi as my first main profession. Doing stuff with only one profession slot blows :(
