Comprehensive list of obtainable gears for stacking PVP power.

You know, all of those spell pen items (like the Guardian's ring of dominance) will likely be changed into non-pvp power stats, like most of the other older items with spell pen on (the ring went to haste, and even the cataclysmic cape/necks of diffusion went to haste/crit rather than pvp power)

Just a thought. Nice however, I'll probably off-hand the 2-socket mace

notice that, instead of stacking pvp powe or any offensive stat, a DPS like a rogue can focus on CC'ing and living longer by stacking resilience too! so the list in OP is good for more than one purpose.

think about it this way, instead of hitting like wet noodle, you hit like extra wet noodle, but now you almost never die!

well, he might have a point. 70 rogues in mop might not be about 2 shots. Been seeing more and more combat rogues playing to last, as opposed to burning your candle at both ends substyle. Adopting to the changes was easy for hpallys and rdroodz, but im sure rogues can start adapting too, like boobz have. Just cant let the whole "healers are op dawg"-issue cast its shadow on everything.

So is this post basically saying that the 20 pvp power (1.59%) is better than a meta gem, just for an example - 21 critical strike and 3% increased critical effect.

like really? i mean....really? is it hard?

not a troll post, but would like to hear ur thoughts on it

further more.....is there any confirmation that pvp power effects "duels" like outside durotar?

I'm pretty sure its dependent on class, possibly even spec.

For MM hunters for example, stacking full pvp power and using max socket items forgoing meta gem etc, does not seem to be viable, since AP will drop to such low levels where your increase in pvpp will be offset and negated by your weak hitting shots.

But for BM hunters, stacking pvpp does seem to work, since pet does the main part of the damage and pet inherits 50% of the hunters AP, so the drop in AP has a relatively smaller impact on your damage scaling.

Thats actually pretty interesting. People might have to gem according to their spec more. While i havn't had time to min max much yet, i've taken a quick look and found that for both rogues and dks a certain amount of AP should be kept. Whereas on my mage SP doesn't seem to be relevant at all, just stack PvP power

even though i am not actively playing, but by following the forums, it seems that rogue is now a monster CC class, your job is supposed to slow/CC/interrupt the opponent so a paladin, a mage or an elemental shaman (or something else) teammate can come and score the kill for you.

so i would just stack resil for now as a rogue.

edit: imagine, here is a rogue with 80% damage reduction (stack resil), he has abilities like

http://www.wowhead.com/spell=14185

http://www.wowhead.com/spell=79008 or http://www.wowhead.com/spell=108211
http://www.wowhead.com/spell=108208
http://www.wowhead.com/spell=1856
http://www.wowhead.com/spell=2983
http://www.wowhead.com/spell=31224

he keeps http://www.wowhead.com/spell=73651 up at all times.

it is gonna be very hard to kill this rogue who just dishes out kicks/stuns/blinds/garrotes.

It's actually a few things. It allows you to stack all PvP power gems (crit effect metas practically all require 3 red gems to activate), and it's two gems vs meta, not one. If a class loves crit, chances are the damage might be better with a crit damage meta (6% damage to crits is strong, no doubt about it), but if you don't care (str classes for example, have around 25% crit), you're gonna want the extra power.

Glance, you have put so much effort into these lists why not list their names in the hyperlink?

ya i will do that when i have time.

:D
