There's that but theres also improved graphics added content Wi-Fi, Pokeathalon, Pokewalker, global events. (Giving away legendary pokemon for going on wifi near a game stop) generation 3 and 4 pokemon, a bit more but I think thats enough.

Th events only happen once unless announced other wise, Nintendo has made a few happen multiple times, I have no attended any since game stop doesn't exist where I live. ):

There are other ways of obtaining the legendaries, like Deoxies can be obtained in Fire Red/Leaf Green and Jirachi can be obtained on ruby/sapphire from the pokemon collaseum (sp) bonus disk, but to get Jirachi from that onto heart gold or whatever you would have t trade it to emerald, then transfer it to diamond/pearl then trade it to heart gold/soul silver. But stuff like the pikachu colored pichu can only be obtained from the event. (as useless as it is.)

so you don't have any? i have colisseum and a gamecube, with the bonus disc. it is hopelessly scratched, however.

On my pokemon emerald I had pretty much every 3rd gen legendary, and on pearl I had 8 arceuses (rofl) all shining, I hacked for all the ones I had on my pearl) but on this silver soul since my action replay broke I don't think I'll be getting any of the real legendaries that aren't wrapped up and given to you in a box as part of the story line.

Edit: Yeah I can't find any for US yet that are relevent to this. (I found max money, walk through walls, obtain all 8 badges, other super hacks, if you want those.) I guess you could try the Jap ones if you wanted, they might work.
