Cata = end of 60 twinking? Discuss

With cataclysm comming out along with a complete remake of talents making u unable of reaching end talents it will make some classes even more op in comparison to others and those weaker classes even more weak. Will this be the end of our amazing time as 60 twinks?

Discuss please, try to not troll or flame anyone, i want everyones comments on what Will happen to us 60 twinks when cata comes out from all aspects not just the talents that i mentioned but start there.
 
Sorry if I'm behind on the news, but has it actually been confirmed that we will only have 30 points at level 60?

I know I saw a post about their being 6 at level 19...I was kind of assuming they would keep us getting the final tier at level 60.

It doesn't make sense to get the final tier at lvl 61 or 62.
 
i don't believe the new 30 point trees will matter since most classes are getting talents at low levels to make leveling fast and those talents are given without having to point them and are based on talent tree you choose at low level



paladins for example are getting vanilla wow level-60 bottom talent "crusader strike" at lvl-1 and wotlk bottom talent "divine storm" at lvl-9 or 10, along with many more that are talked about in the 19 twink bracket.
 
well ye... it s a slight disatvantage

for ex you won t get Guardian Angel at level 60 for holy priest

but i have a question

for a warrior, if you choose Arms... it says you get mortal strike - does 430 damage but it says level 85

what does that means?

you get mortal strike at level 10? or what? or you get that mortal strike at level 85?

when you choose Arms for talent you get Mortal Strike +Anger Management+Two-Handed Weapon Specialization or you get only ... 2 handed and Anger mangment?
 
idk, Holy looks like it'd be actually viable for Priests.

We'll have to wait & see really.
 
I have a twink druid and not having starfall is going to take all the fun out of why i made the twink to begin with.



but realistically looking at it... it was very over powered even against other twinks. pop starfall and everything around you dies or runs away



i am looking foward to getting a silence and a new AoE. Maybe the mushrooms get those melee away from me /shrug
 
Plus you have to keep in mind that MC, and BWL are going to 80-85... Q_Q

AQ40 still will be there (where most of your Best in Slot stuff comes from), and from what I've heard MC and BWL will still be there (though they might get phased for 85s, so keep some 70-80 alts!).
 
there are no plans to take out MC afaik. they mentioned something about not wanting to take out too many legendaries.
 
Elementium ores are being changed into elementium ingots and elementium bars becomes hardened elementium bars due to elementium ores/bars are going to be the normal veins u find in the world 80-85, so doubt they would go through all that just to then make current elementium unattainable so i think bwl remains. Also raggy is gonna be in elemental plane so he wont even be in mc as 85 raid so he probably stays and mc aswell

i have never read anything about this. people are making up rumors and other people are spreading them. you think if MC and BWL were going to be lvl 85 raids we'd have seen a blue post by now, eh?



warriors are getting MS at lvl 10 if you spec into arms. the damage will be adjusted accordingly (i guess) dont worry if it says 85.



you wont be able to get the bottom of the tree till lvl 70 - and at that point you'll be free to start utilizing your second tree, or fill up your 1st.



also....really? you built your druid around starfalling people? wow... not only does that mean you just made it in LK (possibly a bit after it was made rly good) but that you just like AoEing people. fun.





edit: yes didnt see sanodar there, but they did specifically say they are changing the name of elementium to a new ore, but keeping the legendary ore and bars in game. they would not say that, change the name, etc just to make it unobtainable. rag can prolly be in both places at once if they work the lore right...idk, but if read nothing about them changing bwl or mc. so please people, find blue posts or stop spreading rumors like that.
 
I did say it sounds stupid if they went through the effort of changing the name and then made unattainable, aka i dont think they will do so.



Back to tallents, palas for example get their atm strongest tallent at lvl 10 so they will stay op but classes like rogue loose killing spree and shadowdance and will be weaker in cata, as it looks now the balance issues that are now will be even worse in cata but hopefully blizz balances the classes more in low lvls aswell

Locks are getting A LOT more powerful now, Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft will be one sexy build (Fear-> Bane on other target (who gets CCed) ->Soul fire -> Insta Soul Fire -> Shadowburn, then Immulate the next target) for arenas.

i was agreeing with your 1st point, so if you didnt see it like that sorry. i also dont think they are taking out mc or bwl or changing them to 85 raids or something else. if anyone has seen a blue post regarding such matters, please post it. the rumors need to stooooooooooooop.



on talents: last i saw on mmo-champ they were thinking of NOT making divine storm the lvl 10 ability. what they'll get i have no idea or how they'd work things around, but keep your eyes peeled to changes regarding that. but they still do get a solid attack at lvl 1, which will be even more OP in my home bracket of 49 heh. same with rogues, they never had shd or ks but not they get shadowstep >.> reroll 49 if you like rogue or pally lol. dont count on them balancing ANYTHING for low lvl pvp. they have never done such a thing, classes are always tuned around endgame pve and pvp - except some changes to enhance leveling speed and productivity aka less downtime and such.

there was also, to my knowledge, no blue post about changing or removing bwl/mc, just lots of unfounded worrying and rumors
 
No, what i hear is that MC and BWL are gonna be the next Naxxramas. So the items from there will be grandfathered like T3.

No. This won't happen. They've already stated they aren't going out of their way to remove Legendaries.
