Hello all, this'll be fairly short.
Going into this patch, I expected the dps hit, the talent hit, etc, and knew some tmog changes were coming but hadn't looked into it.
Turns out, I should've looked into that, because while some may find the new system works well for them, it has destroyed the final thing I actually enjoyed in this game besides parkour. No more cloth tmog for DH, (including grandfathered pieces) no more switching out different tmogged items from my bags, all gone. And the new outfit slots that can be changed on the go just can't replace it.
I was willing to hit like a wet noodle and lose soloability, I was willing to have Blizz take away my toys over time, but this is too much. I spent yesterday and most of today trying to fix my outfits, spent roughly 300k gold, then finally stopped, stepped back, and realized the system I enjoyed is gone. Throwing gold at it won't fix anything. It's not just the lack of swapping that did it, it's that now, because I don't gold grind while f2p, Blizzard has managed to make any tmog collecting a thing of the past, meaning outfits may as well not exist.
This is just the latest and hardest hitting blow from a company who are obviously not making a game for players like myself, and haven't for a long time. 20s used to be fun because it was a challenge to see how much we could get and how far we could go, but I guess it's my turn to echo the sentiments of others in that Blizz is winning the war on f2p, least for me.
I'm done with them.
Nothing they could do at this point would fix it, because it isn't any one thing, it's become everything.
I started doing this in 2021 because I just wanted to be able to see the different places within the world, (of warcraft) and I can get that elsewhere without dealing with the constant headache which is Blizz.
For everyone continuing to press on, I salute you. You all deserve better from this game.
Prob will check in on occasion as I enjoy these forums and putting what knowledge I have to use, but if I play wow again, it'll probably be private servers.
