EU+US Broken Shores Rare Spawns

I occasionally kill the rare spawns in the broken shores on my 101s and I almost never get any loot from them. When I say loot, I mean the loot they drop for 110s. Items that include artifact power, sentinax beacons, netherchunks, legionfall war supplies, and the occasional legendary.

One thing I have noticed is the rare elite Eye of Gurgh has dropped the above 110 items for me (minus the legendary) the last two times I killed him on my 101s.

I don't know if it's just random, or if they all have the same low chance to drop the gear but I found it odd. Another thing that happened each time is the green skull map icon for him disappeared when I killed him. Any of the other rare spawns keep their map skull icon when I kill them. This led me to believe the icon only goes away when you get loot.

To test my theory I killed a few other rare elites 2-5 times each. I got no loot from them and their skull icon remained on my map.

I'll keep an eye out for him to spawn again and see if I get loot for a third time. If so I think we may have one more option for legendary drops.
 
I actually killed one of those today on my 109 lock, and i got two artifact power items. One 255AP and one smaller 25 i think and some Nethershards.

Do you know if there is anyway for us twinks to get rep with the faction?
 
Farm follower missions for rep tokens after you've become exalted with that rep on a 110. Mail the tokens to your alts. They are soulbound unless you are exalted, then they become BoA.
 
Update: He spawned again for my 101 DK. Killed him and got loot once again... After looting him his green skull icon disappeared from the map.

Went over and killed some other rare elites and got nothing from any of them. Their green skull icons remained on my map after I killed them.

Edit: Logged on two other 101s, killed him on them and got loot on both.

Every rare i went to on broken shore was a skull and no loot, then http://www.wowhead.com/npc=116166/eye-of-gurgh came up he was 110 rare and i was able to loot.
1 x Dauntless treads
70 x order res
3 x legionfall war supplies
217 x nethershards

on my 110's ive looted 2 leggo's from broken shore rares, i guess allways farm him if hes up.

Can't confirm that any rare will do so, Veechard. However I can confirm:
A) Eye of Gurgh gives 101s loot and
B) Eye of Gurgh can drop legendaries.

Literally everything that has a loot table in Legion can drop a Legendary, including random ass crabs on the shores. Chest type containers like Emissary (110's only), weekly Mythic (110's only), Legionfall table turn-in (110's only), Paragon Chests (98-110), etc, have a higher than normal chance though.

That's how I got my Legendary Back piece; through a paragon Chest. I'll have to find that rare guy and well fight em.
 
I'm not sure of how often, but I am positive I killed him on the same 101 more than once in the same week.
 
I would usually jump in and kill him with a group but I decided to solo him today on the 101 hunter. Loot dropped once again.
