I'm farming tbc dungeons with my 4 lvl20 f2p accounts (tank/healer/2 x dps). I'm a bit confused as to how the number of people affects drop rate from bosses.
So far I've never seen a single boss dropping more than 2 blue items to my team. i.e. at most 2 of my team of 4 did ever get a blue from a single boss. So, I'm assuming even in the so called "personal" loot, each boss has a upper limit of 2 drops per kill. Hence, I tried to logout 2 of my accounts and kill the boss with just 2 of toons. But, i found that sometimes non of the 2 get any blue at all. So exactly how boss drop works when for a level appropriate team of 4?
What is the best way to ensure one specific toon to receive all the loot? Does logging out help? Some classes like mage cannot really solo a dungeon, so i need to rely on a full team of my own to finish the job. But i am able to selectively logout some of them if necessary.
