BoE like Foamspittle Staff

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone would know any items like Foamspittle Staff, which are as easy to farm as this one or close to it?

Every item is more than welcome in this thread!
 
Are there any options regarding leather helmets? Im currently farming the one fra Skhowl
 
related question: on wowhead, i can only search for the green version of the foamspittle. is there any way to search for items that can come in a variety of green/blue/purple?

Not easily. You can try to find items that come from unique sources, but many are no longer in game, some appear to not upgrade for some reason, and some things (silvermoon robes for example) - have erroneous data that make it not look unique.
 
thanks. i might have missed something while i was away, i presume not all dropped green items can come in other varieties. is there a rhyme or reason to which items do?

8.1.5 introduced it. Basically all quest rewards green or blue have a chance to upgrade. Items that drop from a single source (usually rares, but also things like foamspittle) can upgrade as well. But there appear to be some exceptions due to phasing and dungeons, but even that doesn't appear to be consistent.
 
I'm farming the riverpaw mystic staff, it's 4x the drop rate and it's only 3 less vers. The whole reason I'm playing vet is because I'm tired of the monotony of the grind at 120, so it makes perfect sense for me =)

Let us know if you get a blue or epic version of it - I assume it upgrades, but haven't seen proof yet. Would be good to know for 19s, where I think they have the same verse.
