BiS Priest Question...

I'm more familiar with level 20 priest gear. I can share general thoughts on gear and enchants though.

I personally like to prioritize Int/Stam > Verse > Crit > Haste. Disc is very mobile. I don't find myself hard casting much in BGs. Preferring to bubble/dot. Bubble can Crit.

Looking at your enchants I would recommend Satyr on neck and ele force on weapon. These chants both proc off dot and add up to a significant amount of damage over the course of a BG.

Thanks for the response. I tend to feel the higher I get my haste, the better the GCD feels. It allows me to shield spam faster, or so it seems. I'll start to get some versa/crit gear and try it out but the versa/haste does feel nice for spamming shields.

Do you know what the ppm are on the Satyr and elemental force enchants? Also, do you know if when they proc, does the damage heal through atonement? Thanks again.

I think satyr was something like 2-3 and ele force was 10 rppm.

when u r under the pressure spaming shields on urself, if u get a crit - thats basicaly free gcd for u, since u can skip next shield cast and apply some dots
haste gets paid off if u are able to cast for free for a long period of time

Hey... this is my priest, and it has okay gear, i think i'm in the wrong set, but currently at work and can't change it :(.

A few things i would change would actually be to get crit/vers shoulders, my green lens of quickblade equiped, changed bracers to boe ilvl 44, boots changed to quickblade, and a ilvl 44 BOE quickblade ring.

In my opinion that's what i'd consider my BIS, not sure about everyone else.

All of the enchants are probably what you would want to use as well.

Intellect > Versatility. Don't sacrifice intellect for versatility. If you can get 200+ in both Intellect and Stamina then you are building a solid twink.

I switch my gear between 2 builds. My "pvp" build is stamina and versatility orientated, 290+ stamina, 210+ Intellect and 18% Versatility with buffs. Survivability is the main trait I prioritise in battlegrounds against other twinks as a healer.

My other build is "glass cannon", which is what I quest in but often pvp in too. My "glass cannon" build is equipped atm. 278 intellect and 230+ stamina with buffs, could be more if I had alchemy on this toon. I have only one grandfathered item equipped(main wep), the rest of the gear is available.

You should collect different builds to adapt to your play style. There's not one set of gear that beats all others and Disc Priests are OP without BiS gear.

Awesome feedback everyone. I'm starting to compile a list of gear that I'm going to share as my end goal gear. Feel free to critique and leave feedback.

Quick question though... how come ele enchant on weap and not int or spell power?

And... is 1 int = 1 spell power?
2 versa = 1 int?

Thanks again everyone.

I'm unable to answer the latter of your post but I'm more than certain the procs of Ele outweight the spell power/ int enchants in terms of damage output.

I did some quick testing in BGs by switching gear and checking tooltips. Very rough numbers, but gives you an idea. The below numbers are just for damage/healing and does not take account the survivability gained from vers.

Flash Heal: 1 Int = 3 Vers
Bubble: 1 Int = 3.5 Vers
Penance Heal: 1 Int = 4.5 Vers
Penance Dmg: 1 Int = 2 Vers
SW Pain: 1 Int = 6 Vers (Over the course of the entire dot)
Smite: 1 Int = 3 Vers

1 int gives 1 spellpower. If you get a buff that increases your int by X%, then int is slightly better. I don't know that any of those buffs exist at this level.

The verse question is more difficult. Verse increases the numbers of your spells (which Eatchikin covers pretty well). It also increases ele force and hidden satyr damage. And then the survivability. I'd use somewhere between 2-4 verse per int as a rough guide.

What would you consider the BiS replacement of your Hypnotic Blade (which is GFd)?

I'm not that guy, but the BG crate weapon would probably be BiS. Ideally with adaptable (verse) - but aurora/quickblade are also very solid with some verse.

The BG crate 1h mace weapon for secondary stats is BiS for priests. If you are looking for most intellect then Starfaller wand is BiS for primary stats with +28 int and +7 stamina but no secondary stats. Personally I would go with https://www.wowhead.com/item=13063/starfaller

Like most level 29 blue BOEs it drops from https://www.wowhead.com/npc=75590/enormous-bullfrog

You will find that frog near the last boss in Razorfen Kraul in Southern Barrens. It drops quite frequently for me on a level 100 and 110. You will get a few BiS items for your hunter as well from the frog :)

If you can't be bothered farming the wand you can always buy it from AH.
