Thanks to THIS find from @Nicozy in his post HERE in the General section, XP-Off will finally be re-merged with XP-On come Legion. No more perma booting from BG's just because you're Level 10 (since ~99% of the PvP Community aren't twinks). We can finally once again enjoy Instanced PvP'ing on our 10's!!

Just posting this here in the 10's section because of how insanely relevant it is for 10's.

But your gear wont be relevant : )
Gear won't matter much (few %) but experience will and frankly speaking, today's Player has no concept of how to PvP. Twinks will still own plebs all day long, 10 or 70 or 39, doesn't matter.

Yeah, but then you're simply just better than other players - not a twink persay. I mean of course, you've done what a twink is: maxing your gear out - but, those few percentages don't matter. So it really is just skill play now, no twinks. I don't know. That's just how I see it.

For me the "outgearing others" aspect have never been an important part of twinking. I don't enjoy playing against shitters with 0 gear.
But even with that opinion the way gear won't matter in Legion is still a huge negative for me. Why? Because there is so much character customizability that comes from gearing choices. Interesting set bonuses, trinket effects, the ability to build aggressively / defensively, being able to adjust gear vs certain comps, etc..

Basically I hate the way gearing is going to work in Legion not because "I won't be stronger than non-twinks at my level", but because it will remove one of my favorite aspects of twinking.

I understand your thinking and I agree

Agreed, I have multiple sets on my twink druid for multiple situations. Nothing is set in stone yet, so hopefully gear choice might still be a part of twinking.

I couldn't agree more... I'm still happy that XP-Off will re-merge with XP-On though.

@Stavie Isn't that kind of the point though, as a Twink you do everything within your power to have 0.1% more/less of a thing. Mostly for us that means Gear/Enchants/etc but it certainly comes down to skill as well. Whether a Player Twinks 10, 70 or "Level Cap" they are trying to be the best at what they do. Yes, I said Level Cap, because anyone who tries to argue they aren't a Twink while they do everything they can to get BiS Gear from Raiding month after month while tweaking their Rotations to be the highest DPS/HPS or gain better knowledge of other Classes so they can counter them better in PvP is delusional.

When I Raided hardcore back in WotLK (go ahead Vanilla players, insert jokes here) I was literal BiS on my Hunter when Ulduar landed. He had every single 226 iLvL pc a Hunter could wear and the 213's for the rest, including BOTH (yes both) KT 25m Weapons. We only missed Realm 1st KT 25m by a couple days but got OS3D 25m Realm 1st. This example is no different at all than Twinking Level 10 and trying to be the best geared, most knowledgeable Player of that Class/Level (or as close to it as reasonably possible).

I'm so hyped, already got my ilvl set ready!

Sitting at 34 ilvl! :)

62 equipped.
Too bad you aren't fully GF'd, the iLvL would creep up a tad more. BTW, the STV Fishing Trink is higher iLvL than AGM as is the Class PvP Trinket (iLvL 60). We're all unclear as to whether the Mist-Piercing Goggles will work but if they do they're the highest iLvL Helm in 10-19. There's also a higher iLvL Off Hand if you have access to a toon that can enter Culling of Strath. Lastly, the Tabard may or may not count but you can get 85 iLvL vs the 75 you have equipped. All of the above should boost you another few iLvLs, which is already insane at 10 lol.

EDIT: I'm LOVING the fact that GF'd Gear will (probably) once again become BiS, even over Looms!!

So jelly. I can only get to 22 by equipping my furbolg bag which obviously I'm not going to be fighting people with. Do we have any idea what the base ilevel is going to be for our bracket? Even if it's only 25 I would have a lot of trouble reaching that.

There is a trinket with 200 Ilvl I believe, bottled tornado ;)
Moot, this will be a Toy in Legion's 7.0 pre-Patch hitting in ~2mo. So the first time the new iLvL scaling hits, Bottled Tornado will no longer be a Trinket with 400 iLvL and therefore doesn't count. Mist Piercing Goggles may or may not count either, making 2-3 iLvL difference. Also Armory shows "Equipped" incorrectly due to Looms, you have to check it via the Character tooltip in game while Instanced into a BG where all Looms are scaled up to match Level 19's. Fishing Poles won't count at all for any Class that requires X to be equipped to do any damage besides White damage, i.e. Hunter , Rogue, all Casters, etc. Keep in mind it's EQUIPPED iLvL not just what's in your bags. Also I highly doubt there's even (1) Level 10 Twink with the Kalu'ak Fishing Pole because the required Rep to get it wasn't possible fast enough before they dropped the Northrend Fishing Contest.
