I've seen some topics pop up in different brackets about the beta, all with little to no replies, since they were in different brackets.

So instead of seperating it into brackets, let's talk about the beta here. If anyone ever gets in that is. I didn't so if these questions seem stupid to you, THEN GTFO.

Main things that I would look for;
1. Changes in low-level content (rehashes?).
2. Changes in low-level gear (assuming you can copy character) (1-40, especially info on the mail/plate transformations would be welcome).
3. Changes in obtainability of certain items (1-100).
4. Balance of classes at lower levels (1-100)

Add stuff you want to know, see or do. Add stuff if you are in the beta and have information on anything. Have fun.
 
I got beta invite on two accounts, I won't be home but I could try and see if I can dl it on my laptop (doubt it). I might let someone borrow the other account not sure though.

Anything else you want to know?
 
I think the interest is rather broad :p If there is anything that stands out for you (like stat changes on any gear), that's always interesting to see.

The main thing I'm wondering right now is about how the mail --> plate and leather --> mail transformation is being handled for the first 40 levels and if lower levels get more (or less) abilities.

I'm sure others have questions too though I'll try to collect some from different brackets.
 
Do Blizz stagger Beta invites? Or if we haven't got one yet does that mean we missed the boat? And can you get one if you are unsub'd but still active?
I notice they got some achieves on WOWhead that give you a crack at the Beta invites, but need to be sub'd for the current requested achieves.

I signed up for the WoWhead one now you mentioned it, hadn't seen it yet.

Hope we get some people in who want to share some info for twinks.
 
Anyone with Beta think they can check if the crafted Warlords of Draenor crafted gear still has the 3 limit?
 
Has anyone scored a Beta invite? I've entered the MMO-Champ comp but no invite yet :mad: I can't do the WOWhead comp as it requires a sub :(
If anyone has access, can you make low level toons yet? I was interested in how the new enchants works and if they scale down. I know they won't be useful in PvP, but for tuning your twinks for world PvP and Dungeons I guess.
Also, interested to see what abilities Hunter Pets have.
If anyone has access to Beta and willing to provide updates that would be super cool.

Not yet. They also blocked creating lvl1s. I suppose they didn't want to hear me giving feedback about low level and that is a shame. The new changes also count for everything below 100-110 and it needs testing. They haven't given feedback on this concern about below 40 gear changes. Still do not know if quests getting opened up if you have done them already on a twink and miss out on the gear changes. Blizz will just screw this up probably and give us the middle finger while the majority on this site not even care.
 
Nothing under level 100 can be create atm. So u can't test low level item. I got access to beta and from what it looks like stat matter. From playing a lvl 100 DK, the ilvl increase is marginal. I try putting in different gear base on ilvl, stats seem to still play a awhile. BG scales are the same 100-109. Not much of a change other than spell and the flow of game. The game runs a lot smoother. A lot of new highlights when spell are use more in terms of cosmetic. Other than that look like twinks brackets have nothing much to be afraid of. The ilvl scare increase marginally. I would think current bis still is bis.
 
Despite not being able to make low-level tunes yet, surely they haven't blocked off Azeorth as a continent? Or do you just automatically start on whatever the new Legion world is?

Nothing is blocked really. Just creating new characters unlike the Alpha. By making a premade character you start now at the SW gate. On the Alpha it was Dalaran but they have now implemented the starting scenario for Legion that wasn't there on the Alpha :)

It is already a fact that this will not be the case due to templates and ilvl stacking.

The person who made it had the right feeling back in the day. I agree and that is why I use it. I suppose I watched it a lot of times myself as a huge Tolkien fan. I actually gave my first character a name from that universe ( no no no! not
Legolas or something similar) and people still use the short version of that name to give me some sort of name ingame. I even was more exited for Lotro then wow for its lore but yet still stuck with wow. I even have the 1st edition ('50s) of lotr and a lot of tin figures from back in the 80/90s that I painted a lot just like from D&D/AD&D, I was such a nerd playing silly made up fantasy games and reading those books people said just like being a gamer.. so much has changed :)

Go check Wailing Caverns for us, I heard it's being revamped, we need to know what's gone :p

Also WoWhead shows Legion database and shows every single mail piece below level 40 now has +agility and +stamina, no longer Strength, is that something that's actually true?
 
I was running some low level dungeons on my 100 rogue in the Beta, and I'm happy to say that at least for Wailing Caverns and Deadmines (what I have tried so far), leather items such as Serpent's Shoulders/Armor of the Fang/Smelting Pants which are receiving mail counterparts are still obtainable, and their mail counterparts have simply been added to their respective loot tables (so it is pretty safe to assume that the same applies for other dungeons).
