Opening of the Dark Portal was pretty good, Flex tabard! Gates of the shifting sands was epic though. Players felt immersed in the story line which is something blizzard only does on occasion. (played on an RP realm at the time so my experience may have varied from others) It's just the most fond memories of this game that I can recall.

My favorite is Children's Week. I used to queue, back in Wrath, with 2 Ele Shamans from my guild. The ENTIRE BG, we would sit in mid and punt people off. It was great watching the PvE'rs rage as they didn't get their achievement.

When I had a paid account, it was Hallow's End and Brewfest, for the mount drops. (Which I got) But right now on my F2P toon, it's Winter Veil for the pets. Love the little Father Winter's Helper riding his little Reindeer beside me.
